How do I eat well during the holidays?
I am going to my dads house over Christmas and will be going to many different family get togethers. How will I still eat healthy without making it obvious to my dad and the rest of my family?
I am also only 14, so they won't expect that I actually care about my health

Just portion your meals and eat at a healthy pace, don’t shovel the food into your mouth super fast, and don’t pick/play with your food and act as if you’re not hungry. Make sure you don’t forget to eat lots of protien (meat and beans), and vegies! HAPPY HOLIDAYS <3

Eat small quantities of everything. If you feel you want to pig out, prepare extra vegetables, beans, and rice. I’m sure they will appreciate the fact that you prepare or bring a few extra dishes. Bring some sprouted whole grain bread for good measure.

Why not make it obvious?…….mabey someone else is feeling the same way. Last time I checked eating helthy was still a good thing.

why do you have to hide this?
that’s a serious query on my mind…. about right now.

Ooo, nightmare! This happened to me once, at a christening, and the host family members were all sumo wrestler types. And I was a very small eater back then. Whenever I politely finished what was on my plate, the hostess would come and fill it again, and I had to finish that again, and then the plate would be filled again… and I was praying my parents would take me home already. When I slept that night, I dreamt I was pregnant. I was 10 years old.
I’ve since learned that I should just play with my food and not finish it. At these big feasts, no one really notices left-overs on the plate, because they assume everyone has been gorging themselves anyway.
Alternatively, just ‘fess up and say you’re watching your figure. Then prepare to get ribbed about the boyfriend.
