How do I cure the pain from gout while pregnant?

I am 12 weeks pregnant and was just diagnosed with gout. I can't take the meds needed to help while I am pregnant. I have a 2 year old that I am trying to chase around and can't hardly move my foot due to the pain. How do I get rid of the pain without endangering my unborn baby?

  1. See the kind of answers you get when you trust your health to just anyone with a computer and access to Yahoo??

  2. please ask your doc and not some nobody online.

  3. i had a friend who drank the juice of black cherries (they need to be fresh not canned)he swore by it.

  4. Take a lot of vitamin C (breaks up the uric acid crystals) and stop eating meat (makes uric acid aka gout) until you’re better.

  5. Less red meat eat healthy and move it even if it hurts

  6. where abouts is it? If its on the foot or something like that I have heard people swear by soaking there foot in apple cider vinegar. They say the acidity from the vinegar draws the gout away, sounds pretty amazing. give it ago… The people I have talked to soaked it for about an hour.
Also celery seed tablets from health food stores brings relief to gout. Acts as a anti-inflammatory…

Gout is caused by a increased concentration of uric acid. Foods that cause this are; organ meats, prawns and lobster

  7. Get medical treatments from a licensed professional to help ease the pain. They should prescribe you some treatments for gout symptoms such as pain.

"Some things that can be done to prevent gout attacks include: losing weight, drinking less alcohol, eating moderate amounts of protein, and a low fat diet. It is important to have a high liquid intake to help flush the uric acid out with the urine." http://www.uihealthcare.com/topics/bonesjointsmuscles/bone4239.html

Restrict foods which cause higher uric acid levels (i.e. pork , beans). Take vitamin B.

  8. village naturals makes a great lotion all natural at walmart called muscle relief also you can safely take tylenol while pregnant.
    good luck

  9. drink lots of water, eat fresh cherries and try drinking 100% cherry juice. stay away from meat. if the doctor will prescribe it take colchicine.
