How can you tell if a lump under skin is serious or not?

I have always been big in sports as a child and always remember whenever I bent down or or applied pressure on my left leg, a very small, soft, painless lump would appear (it almost feels like a lump of fat) on the left side of my shin. I am 22 now and can still feel it easily, but it doesn't cause any pain or problem. How do you know if a lump is cancerous or benign?

  1. If you are 22 and it has been there since childhood then it is unlikely to be cancer.

If it was cancerous, it would have grown and by now you would be unlikely to have the use of the leg if yoi were still alive.

Sounds like it is probably a harmless lipoma.

  2. home surgery time .
