How can people function with less than 7 hours of sleep a night?
I struggle to stay awake with 8 hours of sleep. I'm tired when I wake up, but I know I have to get to school. How the hell can people function with <7 hours? Some of my friends get around 5 and I have no idea how they manage to get to school.
Well maybe not struggle, but I'm tired with 8 hours. Teens need 9.5 hours of sleep for optimal health.

I’m 18, i work and study full time. I get on average 4 to 5 hours a sleep per day. Its not that bad and you get used too it. But if i don’t get waken up by my alarm i can sleep for over 12 hours in one hit.
Take lots of vitamins and when you feel tired rehydrate your eyes by putting water in them (when your eyes burn you can tell your doing it right). Redbull helps more then coffee…. Also don’t stop moving around because you will only get tired once you stop working. its true i been doing this for 10 months.

These people have been surviving with this amount of sleep for a very long time. Also, they might not exert alot of brain power in school, meaning they dont get as tired as quick, or they just sleep in class.

I guess they are just used to getting less sleep. Or they don’t think very much at school…no offense but I am teacher and some of my students only want to sleep during class and don’t exactly need a lot of energy. I think it is great that you are getting plenty of sleep. Teens really do need it!
