How can i tell the difference between a cold sore and an STD?
I was out at a party this past weekend on Friday, and i was kissing this girl off and on for most of the night. On Monday i just noticed a bump inside my mouth just under my bottom lip. I just wanted to know how long will it take to catch the STD, IF she has it. I'm not saying she has one, but how will you tell the difference from a cold sore to an STD? PS we never did anything as far as kissing.

A cold sore on the mouth isn’t considered to be an std, you can get them on the mouth just by being innocently kissed by some one that has cold sores. But cold sores don’t commonly affect the inside of the mouth, they like to occur on or around the lips out side of the mouth.
If it’s on the inside of your mouth then it could be just a canker sore, also not an std and not related to herpes. Canker sores typically cause itchy raised white lesions, they like to affect soft parts of the inside of the mouth.
It can take minutes or seconds to pass an std during oral sex or intercourse, but it can take a few weeks to show symptoms. If you have never had oral sex or intercourse before then you shouldn’t have an std.
