How can i learn to like vegetables more?

I I don't like vegetables but I want to eat them because they're so good for you.

I used to eat corn all the time but then I learned that that is actually a grain and not a vegetable?

So, how can I learn to like vegetables more?

  1. Try some soups, Progresso or Campbells Chunky. Vegetable, chicken noodle, etc. This will let you try some different vegetables prepared in a mild, tasty way.

Try different sauces or seasonings. Sprinkle some Mrs Dash and a pat of fresh butter like Plugra or Kerrygold. Try Garlic butter sauce. Or make a sauce out of butter (Plugra or Kerrygold, they’re all natural, just cream and salt) and a bit of sugar. I sprinkle pure cane sugar, Mrs Dash and a pat of Plugra on my vegetables and what a difference it makes! Wow! Do it while they’re hot so it all melts into a creamy sauce.

If nothing else, here’s a little trick. Buy a can of V8 (I know, I HATE V8) and pour it into some of your regular foods. You can’t even taste it, but it adds tons of nutrients. Like when you make meatloaf, mix in a cup of V8 and then finely shred some carrots or broccoli and mix it in. Again, you can’t taste it but you get some nutrients. Add a little more each time. I make stuffed peppers with a mix of beef and rice, you can’t even taste the rice.

Try a salad with bacon, chicken, or ham, and cheeses, croutons, dressing, etc.

I love General Tso chicken for example, and it has super sweet carrots in it. Pasta can have carrots and broccolli added. Try some of those new steamers from Green Giant and Birds Eye, they have some great spices and a variety of vegetables to try. Get one thats mixed and you may find a few you like and didn’t know! =) Pour them over pasta or rice and add chicken or lean beef.

Try broccoli or cauliflower with melted velveeta cheese on top. Try baked potatoes with cheese and broccoli… chop up JUST the flower, not the stalk, really super fine and you won’t even taste it.

Once you get a taste for them then you can try adding more and more. I don’t like beans but I love bean soup… you just have to try some things til you find what works!

  2. if you don’t like to eat it, then you might like drinking it try V8, it’s alot easier and faster !

  3. try them all u will eventually find 1 u like

  4. I sure wish I new. I asked this very question to a nutritionist there answer was thats really sad. Very helpful huh…. Good luck to you. I’m going to check back I hope you get some good answers. Besides buck up an eat them. If your like me that probably isn’t going to happen.

  5. By knowing that vegetables are healthy for you and that’s where most of your nutrients and vitamins comes from dat your body really need.

  6. You have to experiment with them. Even if you put butter or cheese or ranch dressing on them, it’s still better than not eating them at all. I used to hate vegetables too, but I’ve learned that if I cook them just right I will like them. For instance, I love veggies when they are put in a chicken stir fry with teriyaki sauce. Mmmm!

  7. You could try eating the vegetables with something else, like putting shredded cheese on broccoli. If you don’t like raw veggies, steam them…it brings out the flavor-just make sure to not steam them for long or else they start to lose nutrients. Like someone else said, drinking V8 is good too, they even have V8s now that have fruit in them too so they taste better than regular vegetable V8

*don’t give up on corn completely- it’s full of fiber & good for your digestive system!
