How can I learn more about becoming an Occupational Therapist?

I have a BS in Psychology, and am considering going back to school to become an OT. Is there a way to find someone to talk to about this, to learn more about what going to school for OT involves, what the responsibilities of the job are, what a 'typical day' is like? I would like to work with kids with physical and mental disabilities. How do I find out if this is the right career for me?

  1. Most high schools have a school counselor (social worker) who might be able to provide that type of information for you or at least give you the contact you would need in order to speak to someone about this professional choice.

  2. If you from the uk you can go on the BAOT website which is the collage for occupational therapist.

  3. Google ..Occupational Therapist school and your area,Some are online some are in a class setting.
That is how I found out where to go and the options. If you have passion for helping people come on over to the site provided bellow and support them, and we can support you as well.
