How can I get rid of my back and chest acne?
Okay so, I have mild back and chest acne. Pretty gross, I know. But I've tried a lot of different stuff. From home remedies to body washes for acne but it never helped. Just made it worse! I'm also a cheer leader and our new uniforms that we'll be wearing in a few weeks are halter so my back will show. Can you give me any ideas of how to get rid of it? Thanks!

I had severe acne on my face. But then I use is Clinical Super Serum and the condition soon improved. The best thing about the serum is that it also fades post-acne marks and scars on the face. I’m still using it and the spots on my face are gradually fading away.
The worst thing about acne is the scars and the marks it leaves behind. Some of the scars tend to disappear with time but some are so grave that it can be disfiguring which may make our heart sink.
The post acne marks is the hyper pigmented or red marks and is called as the post inflammatory marks. These marks take at least 6-12 months to completely disappear. When these marks last longer than a year then it turns into a scar. A number of things could be done to reduce the redness and to quicken its pace to disappear. There are also a number of home remedies available. Following are some of them.

normally at any drug store
they sell body acne creams
my friend used to have body acne but she did this :
shower in the morning
body cleansing wash
a normal acne toner
and a moisteriser
day and night ( i know it seems a bore but it worked for her)
hope that helped!
Good luck!

I used to suffer from this and I used to try every lotion and potion going and nothing helped much. I suggest the following:
Drink plenty of water
Wash thoroughly with and exfoliating scrub
If you use a moisturiser, use a non greasy formula and just enough to be soaked in easily without rubbing
Try to cut down on any oily/fatty/sugary foods and drinks
Cut down on any caffeine intake
My skin has improved no end since I stopped buying convenience foods and started making my own things from scratch. That way I know exactly what I am eating in terms of fats, sugars and salt and I am not taking in so many preservatives and such like. I wouldn’t look back now and I can’t understand how I ate all that rubbish and thought it was real food.

okay so my dermatologist told me back acne can be from the shampoo you use…like when youre in the shower and you let the shampoo soak in it can get on your back and irritate it…so he recommended head and shoulders and i feel like that has really improved my back acne!
good luck!

I also struggled with back acne. Here’s what has helped me:
First, make sure you cleanse at least once a day. Don’t overdo it here (sometimes people shower more often thinking they’ll get rid of the acne by washing it away – you can actually make things worse if you strip away too much of your natural oils because your skin will respond with making more oil – causing more acne.) If, however, you sweat a lot, you may want to wash your skin again (even it it’s just with a wash cloth) – for instance, after playing sports, etc. I will usually wet a wash cloth and just wipe down my back, shoulders and chest halfway through the day (say, when you get home from school). Wash with a cleanser that YOUR skin responds to. But, do not choose a cleanser that has alcohol in it (as this also causes your skin to dry out and cause more acne).
Second, I also use this:
a water / vinegar solution 1:1 ratio (regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar is very good). Put it in a spray bottle and spray the problem areas at night before you go to bed then shower in the morning. If you normally shower at night, go ahead and still spray it. The "vinegary" smell should dissipate but you may still want to wash off with a wash cloth in the morning. This can be very helpful for your back. Start off slow (maybe not using it everyday and maybe using 25% vinegar and 75% water at first) and see how your skin responds. If you tried a lot of other treatments and your skin responded badly, I would start slow.
Lastly, I would also exfoliate on a regular basis. Exfoliating your skin will help remove dead skin cells that get trapped because of too much sebum (oil) on your skin – causing pores to get clogged…thus forming acne. I expect you have oily skin. With oily skin, you should exfoliate 3-5 per week. (If you have dry or sensitive skin, only once per week; Normal skin would be everyday.)
One last thing…regarding benzoyl peroxide: In order to get good results (for most people) is to use it on a consistent basis. Usually a 2.5% concentration works for most people if you use it daily. However, for back acne, this is hard to do because it will bleach clothes and hair. I think it works quite well for acne but I don’t use it for my back. Instead, I use the water / vinegar solution I mentioned above. Or, find a skin cleanser / body wash that has benzoyl peroxide in it and then rinse well after cleansing. If you choose this route, you probably don’t need the water / vinegar solution.
Be as consistent as possible with your skin care regimen and you should be able to keep your back acne at bay. Good luck…I know how embarrassing it is having acne on your back. I hope this helps you!!
