Children’s Congress 2005
Video of the Children's Congress 2005 from 9/12/05 Each year, 150 kids with type 1 diabetes, ages 4-17 from across the country travel to Washington DC to urge their members of Congress to allocate more money in order to fund new research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. In the words of past Children's Congress delegate Brett, 17, "You can get one impression through a letter or an email or a phone conversation but when you see them eye to eye, there's a whole other emotional spectrum that comes out. You need to put a face on what they're voting for."
