Weight Lifting/Training Exercises to Tone Arms, Workout Biceps, Triceps, Chest & Shoulder Muscles
Hi, in this video I show you how to build and tone your arm muscles, specifically, your biceps, triceps, chest and shoulders. Weightlifting with dumbbells is a wonderful way to strengthen and tone your arms; even works your core and back. Increasing your muscle tone also revs up your metabolism by increasing your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) so you'll burn more calories even at rest. I hope you find this video helpful. hi ever since i started toning up and doing strength training/circuits/boxing last year i put on alot of muscle weight and didnt lose any weight. I really dont like having extra weight and found i havent lost any fat, how can i lose weight but still have muscle??
October 7th, 2010 - 20:27
Hi, that can happen sometimes that you gain a bit of weight due to increased muscle. Muscles hold more fluid which can cause you to think you gained weight. Be sure to avoid excess salt in your diet as this can contribute to a few extra pounds. Also, work in more cardio. Things like running, jogging walking swimming etc. to help burn calories. It will help to keep your metabolism revved and shed any excess fat you may have covering your muscles.

Im average weight and want to tone my arms up (ive got no muscle tone at all), ive got 2.5kg weights, is that a good starting weight or should i start on something less, ive tried once and i was sore for days.

Hi, it’s hard for me to say if that’s a good weight for you or if you need three pounds because it really depends on how you feel when you lift them. If you can do 12-15 reps with proper form and you feel resistance increasing at the end when it gets a little harder for you, but you can still lift it, then that’s a good weight for you. In the beginning you may get sore as your muscles get stronger. Be sure to rest them a few days till they feel better before you start again.

how long does it take for the muscles to get built?
January 21st, 2011 - 19:30
Hi, it happens right away, the first time you do it you are building muscle. It will take a bit of time for you to see it although you will be stronger after just 1-2 weeks.

Hi ive been doing weight lifting for 1month at first it was 10lbs each hand then i moved to 20lbs each hand, i only notice a bulging muscle but my arms are still big how long it takes to become thin?
January 27th, 2011 - 11:15
Hi, in order to lose weight so that you can be thinner, you will also need to do cardio exercise to burn excess calories and fat and to watch your diet by practicing portion control and concentrating on eating only healthy foods and no junk.

I’m a 6’1 210 male, age of 17. a trainer stopped me today because i was lifting a LOT of weight…he said i can possibly hurt my self and it is unneccesary to lift that much for my age. What do YOU recommend ?
January 28th, 2011 - 20:03
Hi, you should listen to the trainer as they are experienced with weight lifting. At 17 you are still growing and your growth plates have not yet solidified so it is easy to hurt them. Although you are 6’1, you don’t want to prevent yourself from being 6’3″ due to a growth plate injury. If you are interested in more on this subject, please check out my video on growth plates and weight training, I think you will find it very helpful. Just go to my channel page and you can search it on the right

@YouTips4U Oh okay, for a second I thought I was done with growing by height, so I gave up on believing that I can still get taller, but I never knew that until you told me. ha, thanks!

You have a perfect body! You’re so ripped!
February 14th, 2011 - 13:09
I do that exact workout but with 15 pound weights and I always end up with muscle pain,is that good??
February 16th, 2011 - 21:29
Hi, you shouldn’t be experiencing pain. Do you mean soreness? Soreness is normal, if that’s what you meant. Just be sure to allow at least 24 hours in between workouts to let your muscles rest and repair.
