  1. If you’re going to continue to tan I would suggest not getting tattooed at all. No matter what color your tattoo is the sun will damage it. The color will fade and the lines will become blurred. I would make a choice between the tan and the tattoo. I have several large pieces on me and the only reason they look as good as they do after this amount of time is because I don’t tan.

My husband is a perfect example. 20 years ago he got two big dragons outlined on his shoulder. His right arm is now a full sleeve that looks amazing, but the dragon on his left arm is all funny because the lines bled together. It’s the arm that’s exposed to the sun when he drives, and years of exposure have ruined all the detail.

If you don’t want to give up the tan and you really want a tattoo I would suggest getting something bold, solid and dark because the sun will ruin it. There’s no sense wasting your time and money getting a detailed piece just to have the UV rays bleach it out.

Most tattoo artists won’t outline in white. It’s a highlite color that really only shows up on very pale skin, and it doesn’t always keep.

  2. wait until you lose the weight, definatley.. but also make sure that you’re going to stay that certain weight, otherwise it could affect the shape of your tattoo. ask the artist about the color, he/she would know best

    goodluck!!:)

  3. I think you should wait, because when you lose weight, your skin will become less stretched out making the tattoo, possible droopy.

  4. u definately wait darling

  5. you should wait till you have your body the way you want it and are happy with it. it would probably be like 80 bucks…..not sure.
