If you dance for about 1 hour and 15 minutes to an upbeat song you will burn 500 calories. Just do this once a day and you will burn 3,500 calories a week, which will help you loose weight about 1-2 lbs a week.

Jog for an hour every day. Walking will give you muscle strength, but it will do jack to lose weight. The same goes for crunches. They’re for muscle, not fat loss.
Focus on cardio if you want to lose weight. That means vigorous jogging, swimming, etc.

I’d say you’r probably already at a very good weight for your height and age so I wouldn’t go too skinny, maybe lose 5 more pounds, and just get toned up. As for foods I’d cut out all sodas and juices high in sugar, and try to cut out all white carbs such as white bread, potatoes, chips, those kind of things. Eat plenty of fibre, vegetables and protein, fish is very good for you. For exercise I’d try and walk about 40 minutes everyday, maybe after your dinner to help digest it. Try to have fairly early dinners, I wouldn’t eat past 6 so you’re not going to sleep on a stomach full of food. Don’t eat carbs after 6 either and tell your self the kitchen is closed after like 7 and only have water. Make sure you eat breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day, for lunch have soup (the soup diet is great!) and maybe some cucumber sticks or celery sticks, and for dinner some protein such as fish or pulses. Also look into yoga, it’s very good for you and really tones you up and there are so many videos on youtube to follow and books to get as well.

Heather is half right.. muscles = faster metabolism, so crunches and walking DO help.. it’s just a little slower. I’d suggest jogging a bit as well, and for your arms do push-ups and weight lifting a bit. :) Good luck!

For eating, your going to have to cut out junk food or at least limit it and eat alot of healthy foods. Make small changes like whole grain wheat bread rather than white bread, water to replace sugary drinks and sodas, etc. Make sure to not have huge portions and eat only when your hungry. Eating slow also helps because it makes you fuller. It gives time for your stomach to tell your brain that it is full
For excersize, I just recommend doing 30 minutes of cardio per day. It will really help you shed pounds, alot more effecient then walking. I use walking to just keep in shape, but I found walking didn’t help much when i was loosing the weight. For 30 minutes just jog, dance, bike ride, rollerskate, etc. Anything that gets your heart pumping and requires you to move around alot is good. :)
Good luck! I just lost alot of weight and it was hard work but worth it, I couldn’t be happier now. Keep your motivation high and keep to a good eating and workout schedule. It pays off!

eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
find out how many calories you need to lose weight. you may be eating too much or not enough. a female under 21 needs around 1,500 calories minimum daily.
make sure you’re drinking enough water.
up your exercise to 30 minutes of cardio a day.
try pilates to tone your body.
also look up "zigzaging" calories
