Why is the my nose and the area around it so oily? any good products to help this?

Im in my early teens. I dont really have an acne problem, just a pimple or two around the time of my period, but i have persistent blackheads on my nose. Also, the area around it is oily. Why? The rest of my skin is normal. Any products or home remedies you'd recommend of getting rid of the oiliness and blackhead?

  1. There is an area on your face called the T section which includes your nose and the area between your eyebrows which is the where the most oil is on your face. This oiliness can cause blackheads. I use pore strips and it takes all the oil and dirt off my nose. You can also use cleansers and scrubs for oily skin which is what I use every morning and it leaves it oil free for the rest of the day. It also lessens the probability of getting acne and blackheads. Just go to your local pharmacy and look through the skin care aisle for products especially made for oily skin.

  2. Um try proactive.

  3. There are special skincare-products for an oily T-Zone … Also, for the blackheads, there are nose-straps which remove those.
Try anti-shine powder, it will help.

  4. washing face with cold water

  5. Putting honey on your face works really well for black heads. I used to have a ton of black heads, but now I put warmed honey on the oily parts of my face for about ten minutes every night and they’ve gone away!

  6. You have combination skin- so it’s normal or dry and certain areas or seasons, certain parts get oily. It’s completely normal and your pimples are due to fluctuating hormones (which keep fluctuating throughout a woman’s life). A home remedy to get rid of blackheads is to wash your face with a gentle face wash (i like creamy cleansers or even L’oreals skin genesis face wash which is a gel face wash). Then dry your face and take an egg white and apply a medium layer over your nose area and then take toilet paper or a paper towel and apply it to the nose over the egg white- you can cut it or rip the toilet paper so it doesn’t cover your nostrils but try to use one continous piece over your nose. Let it dry and slowly peel the hard toilet paper off your nose, some of your blackheads should be removed, do this 1 – 2weeks. You can also take a face towel in the shower and in the middle of your shower, gently rub your nose. It’s very important to remember that all your blackheads may not get removed the first time you try because their deep into your skin, and you don’t want to rub your nose too hard because it can cause blood to deposit under your skin and make a dark scab thingy under your skin and you woun’t be able to peel it for like a week or so..I learned the hard way by scrubbing my nose with the towel too hard and it made a dark scab thingy and it was on my nose for a few days. Instead you want to be gentle with your nose. There’s a lot of scrubs and things you can get at walmart to remove blackheads. As for the oilyness, I believe that masks work over time to remove excess oils- you want to look for a clay based mask to remove oilyness and use it once a week. The best mask for oilyness I have ever tried is a herbal mask made out of sandalwood powder which you can get at Indian grocery stores or even online and mix it with enough lemon and yogurt to make a paste that’s not thick and not watery (make a small batch and try not to save it) and apply it 1 – 2 times a week, I really noticed a difference in the oilyness in my face within the month. You can also try an oil free moisturizer at night (all over your face) as sometimes your face produces extra oil when it’s dry
