Why do I still have acne?
I have had acne for 2 years(12-13)!! I'm realy sick and tired of it!! I usually don't go anywhere w/o a lot of make-up(Detailed Description-First, I add a green powder, then a few layers of cover up, then one layer of oil-free foundation). I am embarrassed and have low self esteem, plus sometimes cry(believe it or not) cause I feel so god damn ugly!! My family and friends say I'm beautiful, but I'd feel a whole lot beautiful with out acne! My case is not severe, I have about a few flat red scars(known as acne freckles) on my forehead, about 5 active pimples on my forehead, a few flat acne scars on the sides of my head, and about a few on my chin and "mustache" area. I don't feel good @ all. I COMPLETELY cut sugar, salty, and high fat foods out of my diet. I take about 15 vitamins, all reflecting the help of making acne better, and the only things I'LL really eat are salmon, anything with high-fiber, avocado, any thing high in omega-3 fatty acids, and a bunch of nutrients rich in vitamins a &d. And I also put these things on my face-I use murad and I have a very expensive oil of oregano cream. Both are literally the highest quality acne ingredients on the rack!! I also use a special nutrogena gentle face wash in the shower. I have no stress, I know its not puberty, I think I pretty much passed that. Also, MY SKIN is never ever oily!! Before I feel it(my face) (to check if its oily) I carry a hand sanitizer and use that before I feel it so I won't put bacteria on my face. i cleanse my pillow cases and dn't use dryer sheets(becuse they add oil and greasy fat) on my clothes!! WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG!! I haven't met anyone who devoted this much of their time to solving their acne and I dont think you have either. Even all of my makeup is made for break out prone skin!! My skin is getting a wee better every day, but not fast enough!! PLEASE HELP ME!! iM SO desperate its not funny!! (@ all!)

Drink water, Eat healthy, Sleep (as much as you possibly can), don’t stress, shower often, wash you’re hands always before touching you’re face (use soap), don’t touch you’re face and if you have to make it very infrequent, don’t pick it will only make things worse, eat foods that have vitamin E in them as it is very good for you’re skin, exercise (but clean up afterwords.)
Great luck! If you are consistent in this process I can promise you you’re skin will clear up! Build a regiment and MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW IT EVERYDAY.

Sometimes things seem worse when you are on a regiment, but the rule is usually that it will get worse before it gets better. Thats how it was for me. Just be consistent and confident!

Everyone is different. Some people have minor problems with acne for a few years, and some people have more severe problems for a longer period of time. Many girls have acne at your age. Consider seeing a dermatologist. He or she may be able to suggest other treatment options which may be helpful for you.

i’m not trying to be rude at all, but it sounds to me like you’re stressing an awful lot about your acne. (you said you have no stress..) and i know personally how it can be frustrating.. i use acne free (you can get it at walmart) it’s almost the same thing as proactiv and it works for me!! (:

Acne is a normal part of teen life and a lot of it is caused by hormones and beyond your control no matter what you try to do.
It sounds like you are severely overreacting to your acne by exposing your face to lots of substances, no matter how clean and safe you think those substances are. You are now preventing your skin from breathing and filling your pores with stuff, and alternating by drying out your skin with soap.
Leaving your face alone completely is far better than the assault you are putting it through.
I would suggest not washing your face at all with soap and to stop putting everything on it, including makeup. If you want to use eyeliner and lipstick, go for it- but no more creams, basecoats, coverups, medicines or anything on your facial areas that are getting acne.
To clean your face, only pull a tiny bit of suds from your shampoo out of your hair and gently clean your face while in the shower. It sounds gross at first, like your face will be dirty. Try it. Believe me, it works and is the best thing for your skin.
This will allow your skin to be able to balance it’s own PH and to heal and fight the acne by itself. It will to prevent you from causing more acne.
If after trying my suggestion of leaving nature to repair itself does not work in a month, see a dermotologist.
Getting over the self esteem issues and walking around in public issues are not easy. I went through it and going natural healed me.
