Why Can't I Get Rid of Bad Acne and Oily Skin?!?
About a year ago I began getting acne a little acne on my face and it started spreading to my upper back, and the back of my neck. It only got worse as time went on. I've been trying quite a few treatments since then and none seemed to have worked. Here are some of the things I have tried; Clearasil, ProActive, Ginseng Cream, and some Neutragena stuff too. Nothing was extremely effective. And during that time acne also spread to sometimes getting it a little on the front of my neck and my upper chest. Thats crossing the line for me! Having it on my face, back, neck, and chest! Really? The recently I got this bump on my nose, and over to the side of it. They're big with no signs of getting better. I went to the doctor when I somewhat sick. She looked at my face while in the process (just wondering what was going on there) and told me it was a type of cystic acne on the face. I definitely did believe here and still do. She then put me on a pill that I have to take daily which doesn't seem to work either. This is where I am now; cystic acne on the face with plenty of smaller acne around (chin cheeks somewhat, forehead, and nose), all sorts of bad acne on the back that has been scarring me for months, scar-ful acne on the upper neck near the face, with acne on the lower neck too. And now I have my chest also to worry about, the acne on my chest tends to scar and is mostly black heads (whatever the ones that are black and feel like little goosebumps, last I read they're called white heads but these are black).
What should I do? With the scarring I can't try 50 million different things, take for ever to find something and in the time it takes me to find what I'm looking for, load up on scars! I begging you for help to fix this. I've been dealing with criticism, being made fun of at school. Even my friends while mess with me its so bad! Someone please give me possible solutions!

Hey, I’ll tell you why you still have acne because veryone knows Proactive, Clearasils and Neutogenas DONT WORK !! Duh ur using the wrong stuff…
I tried al those things too and had no success. I recommend using Mandelic Acid based products. All the products you’ve beeen using are Salicylic acid..Mandelic Acid is way more effective. I would recommend http://www.nucelle.com I used their 10% Mandelic Acid Serum and their Mandelic Moisturizer, just combine these 2 things once a day and your acne should clear up within a week. Mandelic Acid is a great Antibacterial..which clears acne without a prescription medication. Also i addtion to using the cleanser and moisturizer i recommended you can visit your doctor and request a prescription of either bactrim or Accutane, will clear your acne guaranteed. Read this article its veryyy helpful : http://www.wikihow.com/Treat-Acne-With-Prescriptions

Hi Tyler
This answer is to offer you some tips you may haven’t considered ..though they may sound pretty basic… I hope it helps you. For one not all acne programs like Proactive works for every one.
What agravates acne?
1- Oily hair.. so stay away from oily hair products like pomades, hairsprays and keep your hair off your forehead & face, keepit pulled back or have a short hair style, maybe put it in a hair net at night as it will keep it off of your skin.
2- Skin cosmentics and suntan lotions.. so use types that do not clog pores .. like noncomedogenic (google it)
3- Skin moisterizers on acne prone skin ..if you do feel you need to .. make sure it is not acnegenic.
4- Washing your skin with hot water and harsh cleansers that can can further irritate your skin. ..Wash the skin gently with a mild soap or cleanser and warm (not hot) water once or twice daily.
5- Scrubbing your skin to get rid of acne, this can actually make your acne worse and promote scarring by increasing inflammation or rupturing cysts under your skin, making bacteria spread.
6- Picking your pimples or blackheads.. this can leave permanent scars. If you feel you just have to get that head out that is ready to burst.. go gently & immediately apply a topical antibiotic to help stave off infection.
7-Stressing out. Stress can cause acne break outs, and herpie outbreaks as well. Quit worrying over the outward appearance of acne .. it doesn’t make you a bad person.. real beauty in a lot deaper than the skin.
8- Not getting enough sleep can cause stress as well so get to bed and those 8 hours in .. an nap when you feel like.
9- Poor nutrition …everyone knows that more fruits and vegetables in your diet is more healthy.. a healthy body will heal itself. Start drinking a lot more water .. and cut out those pops.
10- No exersise.. exersising everyday can also make you healthier and rejevenate the skin by the increased oxegen from the increased blood flow.. it will make you stronger and healthier when combined with a nutritious diet.
11- Hot humid environments.. like poorly ventilated gyms and kitchens.. the cooking grease your exposed to can add to pore clogging…
12-Working out bacteria.. from equipment and sweat.. bring a long some pre-wetted alcohol towlelettes to gently wipe the sweat from your face .. back .. hands.. chest .. a long the work out lines ..to tight fitting work out clothes that trap moisture can cause bumps on your chest or back. .so wear lose fitting cotton attire.. in fact wearing lose fitting breathable attire always is beneficial when combating acne..
13- Dirty make up and make up brushes.. throw out old contaminated make up and wash your brushes regularly in soapy water ..
Some quick tips.. and I am a believer in the natural approach to healing ones body, ..the url below helped me..I learned about it from an article..maybe it can help you if you want to pursue healing your acne naturally and permanently…I’m not trying to sell you on it ..form your own opinion.. but it might be worth a look for you. I feel it offers a good path to permanent healing of skin problems and acne.
Last tip .. bacteria is one of the key causes of acne, anything that keeps bacteria from touching your skin will help in acne prevention.
I hope this helps you

As an acne sufferer, you may be frustrated with the drugstore treatments that don’t work as well as you’d hoped. Many people have found that simple home remedies work well for treating this stubborn problem. To finally get rid of your acne, give the following home remedies a try.
Some nutritionists consider fresh wheatgrass juice a super food and drinking it can help clear up acne. This product is available may be available at your local health food stores or juice bars or you can search online for it.
While you can get it in supplement form, it’s best if you can drink it as a fresh juice. Some have found it best to get a wheatgrass juicer and make it at home. You only need to consume an ounce a day to get the benefits which can help to offset the high cost. Wheatgrass is a powerful raw food that cleans out your body, so while you’re taking it you should also avoid junk foods such as sugar as much as possible. After you acne has cleared, you may find that you want to continue taking wheatgrass juice for its many other health benefits.
Melaleuca oil, or tea tree oil, is another great natural treatment for acne. Melaleuca oil’s strong anti-fungal and antibacterial properties make it very effective at treating acne. Acne is often caused by bacteria, and tea tree oil is very good at fighting these. Apply it with clean cotton. Because pure tea tree oil is very strong and can irritate the skin, you will want to dilute it before use. If you buy a product containing tea tree oil, be sure to read the instructions carefully. To find out if the product will irritate your skin further, use only a little bit the first few times you use it. Tea tree oil can be a very effective natural acne remedy.
You can treat many conditions with garlic, including acne. Garlic has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that make it one of the best substances to use against acne. After crushing the garlic with a garlic press or a mortar and pestle, apply it to your face.
Leave it on for no more than five minutes; any longer than that can cause irritation to the skin. Daily applications will soon have your acne disappearing. You can help the process by taking a garlic supplement, which also allows the garlic to work on you internally. Acne is a very common condition in both teenagers and adults but that doesn’t mean that you have to just live with it. If you have a very serious condition you may want to consult a dermatologist, but in many cases home remedies, such as the ones we’ve covered in this answer, can be effective in treating acne.
