It depends on what type of scars you mean. If it is pits, then those would need a dermatologist, but if it’s red marks, they will fade gradually, but there are also medicines to get them to fade. Benzoyl Peroxide will also fade things, including acne and also clothing and upholstery and anything with color it comes in contact with. Retin-A cream by RX is also good, but would need a doc’s RX.

My friend (whos a guy) had major acne all over his back.
What he did, was lie out in the sun so the sun dried it all out (although he also got horrifically sunburnt which is not great)
BUT. after the sunburn had peeled off and things, all his spots had gone and never came back since. I told him to rub in rosehip oil daily to his back using a wooden massage tool to really stimulate the skin and make sure the oil was working. (rosehip oil is used to reduce scarring). Nowadays his back is completely acne free and his scarring has faded considerably so that you would only notice it if you looked closely.
OKAY so i dont really want you to get horrifically sunburnt as that is really dangerous ie may cause cancer. But try lying out in the sun with some low SPF cream rubbed in. Your aim is to dry out your skin. And the vitiman D in the suns rays is very beneficial.
Also, try having a warm bath with salt dissolved in it, do this as often as you can, salt is drying and antiseptic and thats why seawater is often so good for you skin.
If you live near the beach, take up sea swimming or bodyboarding.
And make sure you get plenty of sun (but please wear suncream)!
Buy some clean and clear spot astringent (meant for your face) dab it on your back with some cotton wool.
If you try all these things religiously,as often as you can then your scarring SHOULD clear up.

Massage olive oil on the scarred skin. Olive oil has a moisturizing quality that softens the skin’s texture and reduces visibility of acne scars.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
