What's a good product for mild acne?
Since I've been really stressed out lately, I have alot of breakouts on my forehead. Some are pretty painful. I also have a few blackheads on my nose.
What can I use? Neutrogena isn't strong enough, but I'm afraid with prescription it will be too strong. I used my brother's prescription cream and and scarred and made some of my old acne from two years leave marks.
Help?

If you are looking for a low cost, effective way of getting rid of acne I suggest that you try red clover acne tea. It’s actually and blend of several natural ingredients and good for a variety of inflammatory skin conditions, acne being one of them. I personally endorse this product because I use it and began using it without telling my family about it, drinking it one to two times a day.
Shortly after beginning to use it–about 2 weeks–I was helping my mother do something on the computer. She kept looking looking at me. Finally, she just stopped and said "What did you do to you skin?" Confused, I said "Nothing. Why?" She said "It looks so much better and so healthy!" Thinking rapidly I responded "Oh, that. I started to drink this special tea to help me with my acne. I suppose it’s working!"
I’ve now been using red clover tea for a few month and my skin is healthier than ever. The bumps on my face have gone down, my skin is smoother than ever and my skin is less oily. The bumps on my back have also gone down. I still have a few but compared to before they’re nothing about which to complain. The best part is that it only costs me $15 every 6 weeks to 2 months to maintain my acne fighting routine which is significantly less than other acne fighting systems like Proactiv or Klear and my skin is not left feeling dry and tight, as is a common side effect with those systems.
I do continue to clean my face a few times a week with a facial cleanser and I do use a drying agent every now and again as they do have their benefits but I do not rely on them anymore.
Red Clover Acne Tea has been the most effective acne fighting product I’ve ever tried and will continue to us it.

I use clean and clear. I have breakouts on my forehead too, but not that bad. Also they had some medicated acne pads that you wipe on your forehead to get rid of it, but theses don’t work for me. It really depends on your skin type, and im sure what works for me, may not work for you. Give it a try though and see what happens.

Try a product with 1% – 2% of salicylic acid. You can get it over the counter… just look at the active ingredients on the back of any acne product. You can also use 5% – 10% benzoyl peroxide. You can use the two in combination also. One product wash might have the salicylic acid and a toner might have the benzoyl peroxide. I would start out at the lower % if you have sensitive skin and since you are just starting a regiment with those ingredients. Increase to a higher % if needed after 4 – 6 weeks.

Benzoyl peroxide is one of the most frequently used acne treatment medications. Benzoyl peroxide is the active ingredient in countless over-the-counter products, such as Clearasil and ProActiv. One of the first proven treatments for acne, it has been used for decades and is still one of the most popular and successful treatments for acne.
Benzoyl peroxide can be found over the counter in cleansers, gels, and lotions, as well as in stronger prescription creams. It is generally an inexpensive treatment, and can be found in both name brands and generic products. All benzoyl peroxide products work similarly. Benzoyl peroxide is often the first treatment choice for those suffering from mild to moderate acne.
Some common over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide products include:
•Proactiv
•Benzaderm Gel
•Glytone 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel
•MD Formulations Benzoyl Peroxide 10
•various generic or store brand benzoyl peroxide creams
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid commonly used to treat comedonal or non-inflamed acne. It is a popular ingredient in many over-the-counter products. Salicylic acid is found in lotions and creams, cleansers, medicated treatment pads, solutions or "toners."
How it Works
Salicylic acid helps correct the abnormal desquamation process that occurs in acne-prone skin. It works as an exfoliant, promoting the sloughing away of dead skin cells.
Salicylic acid is especially helpful in treating acne because of its ability to penetrate the follicle. It encourages the shedding of dead skin cells from within the follicle, helping keep the pores clear of cellular debris. In this way, it reduces the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.
Common Directions
Over-the-counter salicylic acid products are found in strengths ranging from .5% to 2%. Typical use consists of a once-daily application. Of course, follow all directions printed on the package.
Depending on your preference, begin by using either salicylic acid pads or a salicylic acid lotion, cream, or gel. Do not use both. Using several salicylic acid products will excessively dry the skin, and will not clear acne any faster. After the skin is sufficiently clear, a salicylic acid wash or scrub can often be used in place of gels or pads to maintain clear skin.
As with most topical treatment medications, salicylic acid must be applied over the entire face or affected body area. Using the product only as a spot treatment on visible breakouts is ineffective. Apply over the entire affected area so the medication can prevent pore blockages and help clear microcomedones (tiny blemishes too small yet to see.)
Continuous use of a salicylic acid product is necessary to obtain and maintain positive results. If you stop using your treatment product, the pores will again clog with excess oil and dead cells, and acne can return.
Some common products containing salicylic acid include:
•Oxy products
•Noxzema Anti-Acne Gel
•Noxzema Anti-Acne Pads
•Stridex products
•Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gel

just wash your face with a cleanser that contains salicylic acid (cetaphil, clean&clear, neutrogena, ect.).
then put some spot treatment on the blemishes. They should contain at least 5% benzoyl peroxide.
For the blackheads, use a facial scrub once a week. Here are two i reccomend: http://www.stives.com/Facial-Products/Naturally-Clear/Naturally-Clear-Green-Tea-Scrub/
(i used this one before i wanted something a little more natural)
http://www.burtsbees.com/natural-products/face-exfoliants/peach-willowbark-deep-pore-scrub.html
(i’m currently using this one, and i really like it!)
another thing, drink A LOT of water. a drink a 20 oz bottle of water a day, sometimes more! it really helps my skin.
also, DON’T TOUCH IT! lol but seriously, you have bacteria on your hands and it’ll just make it worse.
