what is the best foundation for oily skin; what is the best product to get rid of acne/blackheads?
I have oily skin on my nose, my forehead and my chin. I also have very bad blackheads and kind of bad acne. Nothing works for my bad combinations. I also want to know what foundation would look really great on me and bring out my eyes (because of my pale skin), and make my blonde and brown hair look great (I have both natural blonde on top and dark brown underneath). I want it to look natural not cakey. Also, what is your recommendation for mascara?
Thank you so much!
Okay! Thank you so much! I will do that! I will add your answer as the best because you gave me loads of information. =D

If you have oily skin, there are a few options I would recommend.
The first one I would recommend is trying to find a liquid foundation with an oil-free formula such as L’Oreal’s True Match liquid foundation line and also Maybelline’s Pure Makeup Shinefree line. L’Oreal’s line has an oil-free formula as well as SPF qualities which will help to protect your skin. Maybelline’s Shinefree foundation is made of water which means that it won’t clog your pores. Both of these will most likely not clog your pores and won’t provoke any breakouts. Also, liquid foundations usually give a airbrush/natural look.
Another recommendation I would recommend is applying liquid foundation and then using a mineral powder or translucent powder as a sealer for the foundation but also to absorb the oil on your skin. Throughout the day, you can apply powder to absorb the oil on your skin.
The last recommendation I would suggest is using whatever foundation you are most comfortable with and then using blotting paper to blot away any excess oil on your skin.
For foundation, there isn’t a foundation that can actually bring out your eyes. Foundation is only used for creating the illusion of perfect skin. If you want something to bring out your eyes, I would recommend using eyeshadow or eyeliner.
Kayy. Moving on to your acne and blackheads, I would recommend using an exfoliater at least twice a week to remove your blackheads and also to reduce your acne. Also for acne products, I would recommend you to look for an acne product that tackles both acne and blackheads but something that is a foamy consistency. Acne products that have a creamy/white consistency usually can clog pores even more.
Finally, for mascara I would recommend Maybelline’s Full ‘N Soft mascara. It’s a very comfortable mascara that brings out the fullness in your lashes while keeping it from getting hard and crusty. It’ll be soft and comfortable throughout the day.
The last thing I would say is stay away from Neutrogena’s line of foundations. I would recommend their skincare products but their foundation line is very lacking. I hate their coverage and cakeyness. Also, make sure you stay away from matte/cream/mousse foundations. Although they can give you a heavy coverage, it will clog your pores and make you breakout.
Good luck with everything. <3

Well the best foundation, is a mousse or matte foundation for oily skin. However it’s not the best for acne prone skin. And most foundations arent, however almay makes an acne treating liquid foundation. Or you could go with a concealer on acne, and powder foundation to keep from being oily.
From my experience, the best thing to do, is to clean your face with a face wash in the shower, use an acne wipe in the morning, moisturize your face afterwards. Always moisturize clean skin. If you don’t moisturize even though you have oily skin, it could become too dry.
Best thing to do is find a foundation that is exactly your skin color, and use eye makeup blush or lipstick/gloss to bring out your eyes. A lighter concealer than your skintone underyour eyes will bring them out.
I recommend covergirl lash blast after curling your eyelashes! they make them gorgeous huge and not clumpy! Just dont start mascara at the base of your eyelashes, or else theyll look like spider legs.

Hi hun,
I am glad to give my two cents because I have the same problem except that I am brunette.
Foundation:
I have tried all of the foundations in the drugstore. With oily skin they don’t last long do they? So far the best I have come by (and I still use it), is The Revlon Color Stay for Combination/ Oily skin. I wear 150 buff. It is the best one and stays on for the majority of the day. I honestly recommend it. $10 – $12 but worth every penny!
On top of my foundation I always wear a pressed powder just to keep it matte and to help it set. Right now I am using Revlon Color Stay pressed powder in Light Pale. $9.99
but when I’m feeling thrifty I buy the Cover girl powder for like $5 and it works well for me!
For your eyes:
you need to define them. I would draw a winged line with liquid eyeliner on the top lid,
then fill the water line with a soft white khol pencil to make them bigger and compliment the top line. for eyeshadow I would use a white matte and at the crease I would define a little bit with a dark brown. Then to complete the look I would recommend mascara. I am a fan of the Maybelline Great Lash mascara. It’s affordable and defines well.
To not have the make up look cakey:
remember less is more. Before putting on the make up prime the skin with moisturizer for the face. this will give you a smoother application.
To get rid of acne:
it’s an ongoing battle as there is no cure for acne. you must wash your face everyday keep it clean, what ever you do DO NOT touch your face during the day, and drink loads of water.
some remedies:
◄benzoyl peroxide cream either 2.5% or 10%.
◄ salycilic acid face wash scrub
◄natural toners that are known to help clear face, reduce oil and smooth complexion are fresh lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and witch hazel.. In my experience witch hazel works the best.
◄masks, my favorite is an aspirin, honey, lemon mask,,, and the Queen Helene Mint Julep of course.

i know it sounds crazy but i works better than any other blackhead remover. caster oil. whip it on nose leave for like an hour or two then clean off and then whip witch hazel to tighten pores on nose. they will be gone in less then a week.
they both smell quite bad so you should probably do it before you go to bed at night.
