what is a spot treatment? (acne)?
I got this new oxy face wash and on the back it says that it's best used with the pads it came with and spot treatment. What does that mean?
I've been scrubbing my face with this stuff and a toothbrush the last few weeks and it seems to have been working. About a week abo I started using clean and clear night moisturizer. And just a few days ago I got a break out on my cheak. I've never used a moisturizer before. Is it really needed and could it be what's causing my breakout?

A spot treatment is when you apply a concentrated anti acne cream or product to a specific problem pimple, etc.
I wouldn’t recommend scrubbing your face with a toothbrush. That’s very abrasive to the skin’s surface. It could be aggravating your skin to the point of breaking out especially if you have a super sensitive, acne prone complexion.
Also, over use of acne products can actually result in more acne. The surface of the skin becomes excessively dry and not only do dead skin cells build up, but the skin tries to compensate by overproducing oil. By not using a moisturizer, you’re allowing the dryness to cause breakouts.
Use a mild cleanser on your face followed by a toner and a moisturizer. Nothing anti acne or abrasive. These products tend to make skin worse!
Best of luck.
