I used to have flawless skin..then a few months ago began eating junk food (I've learned my lesson). I use proactiv and recently went off of an antibiotic used to clear my skin. It helped, but I've still got a few red marks and pimples. Lovely. I'm going back to the dermatologist and wanted to know if anyone had success stories for any antibiotics or treatments? Also, when do these ugly red marks go away? Thanks :)

It’s actually easier for people of lighter skin to get rid of their marks compared to someone of darker skintone. You can use an exfoliant and just buff off the old skin every other night. Oil of Olay products work really well. I have medium skin tone and my dermatologist gave me 4% bleaching cream to get rid of my scars and it worked wonderfully. It’s starting to get hot outside so when you start spending more time out in the sun you will start getting a tan epecially on your face. When your skin peels the old skin will fall off and you will not only see a glow but you will see your spots lighten up and fade. I use to have very bad acne. Everytime i started my cycle i would get two big ones on my face and they would pop, spread and leave those hideous scars but my dermatologist put me on doxycylone(pills they give soldiers oversees to help fight against malaria a skin disease) and my skin cleared up within a month and no more breakouts after either. Its like it through my hormones on the right track and fought underneath the surface of the skin before they could even break through. They are green and they are big. Doxycylone, Oil of Olay face renewal products that contain exfoliant. I wouldnt recommend the skin bleach for you though.

the marks sometimes leave scars that may last a few weeks, but they usually go away after maybe a week. i dont spend money on those big name brand acne treatments, i just make my own. lemon (or lime) juice, and facial cleanser mixed together works really well, but it stings. or to go even cheaper, toothpaste and body lotion keep the skin flawless and soft :D hope this helps

I am going through a nasty breakout right now But what has helped me before is using an acne medication called Differin. And always washing my face. I also watch what I eat and moisturize all the time.

Skinmedica’s acne system worked wonders for me. It has a face wash, toner, and lotion.
Going on birth control also helped a lot.
I went on minocycline which helped but I got sunburned like every day even when wearing sunscreen, and sun damage is terrible for skin.

peoplee usedd too allways tell mee too usee them stuff on thee adverts butt theey never really workk.. becausee ii used too have acne all over my face and it really wasnt pleasent butt lastt summer ii usedd too go sunbathing ALL the timee!! andd ii foundd my acnee was fading because it was burning most of them and making my skinn dry soo they cant form.. butt whenn summer finishedd they started comingg backk.. butt only aa littlee bitt soo thenn ii foundd aa waay.. ii boiled the kettlee and put the boiling water intoo thee sink.. putt your head above it and put aa towel over youur head too stop the boiling water fromm coming out.. i did that every nightt andd by 2 – 2 and a half weeks they weree all gonee noww ii doo it around once a week so they dont comee back ;Dx hoped this helpss.. x
