what are the best ways to get rid of acne and prevent it for future?
i just need some good ways to get rid of acne and prevent it for the future without having to pay lots of money. but you could recomend some good face cream stuff if you want but it would have to be a mens product cos i am a man.

After years of trying almost every acne product in the drug store, this is what works for me:
1. Gentle Face Wash (ex: Cetaphil)
2. 2.5% Benzoyle Peroxide (ex: Oxy): kills the bacteria on your skin.
3. Gentle Moisturizer (ex: Neutrogena for sensitive skin): moisturizes your skin so it wouldn’t look dry and flaky from using benzoyle peroxide.
Use these products twice a day for 2 weeks. If your skin doesn’t start to clear up by then, then you should see a dermatologist because you may have a severe form of acne that needs medication or it could be another skin condition.

well my brother is 17 and he uses this stuff called clearasil it works good i think the face mask and acne pads workd the best for him and proactive and clean and clear face wash it is in a green bottle and has these little orange and yellow beads in the soap it is called morning burst but u can use it when ever also i have heard that witch hazel works u can buy a bottle of it at the grocery store or drug store and just put some on like a wash cloth and rub it on your face just dont get it in your mouth or eyes

The best advise I got was from a dermatologist ( skin doctor). He said to wash your face using a mild soap like Ivory. He told me to just wet my hands really, really well and then to make a lather ( lots of bubbles) and then wash my face with my bare hands ( washclothes tend to hold germs). He said to make sure that you scrub up into your hairline and under your chin and all around your face. Make sure that you rinse your face several times as well.
He also told me NOT TO DRINK A LOT OF SODAS.
He put me on tetracycline ( not sure of the spelling) to help dry up the oilyness of my skin. I also had some sort of a heat light treatment.
Once I started to follow his advice, the acne cleared right up.
As a result of his advice, at ae 52, I have beautiful skin with no pit marks or anything.
