What are the best treatment to clear acne scars?
I have been battling acne on and off since I was 17 and used a few products (retin-A and otc) and I use proactiv now and it works great. I also combine monthly chemical peels to keep my face clear.
Okay, my acne is gone but my face has some scarring. Its not too bad (just a little red or brown here and there) but sometimes I wish I could go out without make up a little confident. Ihear microdermabrasions were good but the lady who does my chemical peels said it just clears away the top layer of skin and not removing scarring. But isnt that what a scar is? Any advice? Please and Thank you

Exfoliating works, if you keep using proactiv then it will also heal scars. If you have the money there is lasering you can do. My aunt did it and it worked great!

What works for me is exfoliating.

I used an exfoliator for twice a week when i had acne scars. And also it’s good to use a moisturizer with an spf so when you go out in the sun, your scars wont get dark.

I heard that Vitamin E can clear scars. I don’t quite remember what site it was from but I will do some research for you…

And I’m not sure if it works like they say it does, but I’ve heard of some kind of laser treatment that they can do to remove or reduce the appearance of scars. You can look that up on the internet. Or even ask a dermatologist.
I hope I helped.

regularly washing face, reduce the intake of oily foods and sweets, and increase the intake of fruit juice and green leafy vegetables, that should surely do the magic

This may seem weird coming from a 14 year old but…
I had scars too and they went away in a little less than 4 months. (And was later voted "Best Skin" at my Junior High School) Go out to Wal Mart or something and buy some ‘Vita K’, Vitamin K or D pills and/or cream. Use that or ‘Body Clear’ creme (which is a mixture of both) and works miracles.
You shouldn’t try to expose yourself to too much sunlight, but you should get a daily exposure (about 15 min.). Drink lots of water, eat lots of nuts (walnuts are best), and any kind of pure fruit juices and you can eat veggies like cucumbers, celery, fennel, chard, and romaine lettuce.
You should also find a good facial scrub or masque to remove dead skin and oils that may keep your scars from healing properly.
(I know all of this from experience and research. I had bad skin at 12 and I stopped it, MYSELF at age 13. (about 4 months ago) Your body needs certain bacteria and acids to maintain its natural state. There are many other tecniques and tricks you can do to stop acne and properly remove scars. I haven’t seen a pimple since, so I’m scar free. If you need to know anymore you can email me at pink_panther_gurl_81@yahoo.com )
Hope I helped!
