What are the best birth control pills for ACNE treatment?

I am looking to switch from my current birth control pill (Diane 35) to see if another pill will work better for acne control. I have noticed since I have been on Diane 35 that I tend to get bad breakouts right around the time when I am taking the second row of pills in the pack. Anyway, I went to my doctor last week and talked to her about switching pills. She prescribed Alesse for me and told me to give it a few months to see how it would work. After my appointment, I asked a friend of mine if she had ever been on Alesse to find out what it was like and she told me that when she was on it, it caused her hormones to go crazy and she said that it was the same for all of her friends who have taken it. So now I am really nervous to take it. I haven't filled my prescription yet so I am hoping to go back to the doctor this week and ask to be prescribe another pill. Which brings me to my questions: Have you ever tried Alesse and experienced a side effect like that? and What is the best birth control pill for treating acne? I am really hoping to find one that works and be able to stick with it. * Also, my doctor said I could try I course of antibiotics to clear up my skin. Has anyone ever tried that?
Thank you! :)

  1. I’m on Marvelon, which has really helped with my skin.
I also have tried antibiotics prescribed by the doctor for my skin, & i really reccomend it. It is great for clearing skin up. Good luck xx

  2. There is no "best" birth control to treating acne considering everyone’s body reacts different to each different birth control. Just because your friend had a bad experience with one doesn’t mean you will. I was on Yaz and it made me very sick and depressed…but I know some people that say Yaz is great for them. Everyone is going to have a different reaction. It can sometimes be a long trial and error process to find the perfect bc for your body.

  3. I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
