What are some facial products that are really effective on acne?
I have dry combination skin. My T-zones are oily. I have a acne problem when I eat a lot of junk. I'm 14 so I'm going through puberty still. I got my first period already and everything.
When I break out, which is pretty frequently, the pimples always get big and red and they hurt. I have a lot of post-acne marks and I mean A LOT. I hate breaking out because I used to get teased a lot.
The problem is I love clinique's acne solutions but it's expensive (sad face).
I hate the proactive. The only thing I like from proactive is the refining mask.
I have already tried neutrogena's acne system.
I've tried St. Ives
I need something without parabens or any other bad ingredients.
My skin is somewhat sensitive. It needs moisture but it's oily in the T-zone.
So I need a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and spot treatment.
I want something that you or somebody you know has tried. And something that is not some unheard-of generic product because I don't trust them and I want something easy to find.

Hello!
I have to say I have tried almost everything to get rid of acne: Creams, strips, cleaning, and all type of home made remedies, and nothing really helped to definitely get read of acne nor blackheads. I have to say that certain things that helped partially:
-Change your diet and include plenty of nutrition rich foods like fish, diary products, fruits and greens. The Omega-3 and Omega-6 present in the foods helps clear the pores of the skin and remove the secretions and dust thereby allows the skin to breath and glow.
-The biggest enemy of your face is the oily skin which gives rise to Acne formation. Therefore it should be your endeavor to always keep your face free of oil and secretions
BUT it wasn’t, until a friend of mine told me how she solved her acne problem. At first sight her solution looked like one of this promises books out there about how to solve your acne problem.
As the method was 100% back guaranteed, I thought I had nothing to lose. What I didn’t know it was how much I had to win with it with the step- by-step solution I got! (They say it is based on a 7 year period of trial and error). Not only did I get rid of blackheads and breakouts, but in 7 weeks I was able to get my acne cured permanently!
1 and half years later my skin has never looked better. For me it was really worth it the try.
Best of lucks!

So I don’t use a toner and my moisturizer is pretty unheard of, but anyways it’s called Lerosett moisture matte (and it’s like organic.) My cleanser is Philosophy Purity Made Simple, best cleanser ever! And my spot treatment is Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.

Hello,
Hopefully my story & research can help you.
I had terrible acne for years beinning when I was a young teenager. I came to the point where I thought I had tried everything possible to get rid of my pimples. It was affecting me so much that I was willing to try anything.
When I came to that point of complete defeat I came to the following conclusion…
"These treatments all have one thing in common, they are making the problem worse, not better"
Then it all made sense to me!
I don’t believe the "treatments" are "designed" to cure the acne. If the treatments cured me completely, then I will not NEED the treatment any more. I believe the treatments are designed to show enough improvement to keep me using the treatment, but never cure me so I will no longer need the treatment.
My acne had made me a source of continuing income for the "acne treatment industry". They had never promised to cure me. They had only promised to "clear my skin" while using their product.
As I researched comments like the following started to make sense to me:
“The pharmaceutical industry has moved very far from its original high purpose of discovering and producing useful new drugs. Now primarily a marketing machine to sell drugs of dubious benefit, this industry uses its wealth and power to co-opt every institution that might stand in its way, including the US Congress, the FDA, academic medical centers, and the medical profession itself.” – Dr Marcia Angell, former editor in chief of The New England Journal of Medicine. (Marcia Angell is an interesting/inspiring lady to do some research on!).
I had terrible acne from the beginning of my teens & tried the commercial approach…clearasil, neutrogena etc. Most of these techniques are only treating the "skin deep symptoms" and never go to the root cause. The beautiful faces on their ads will always hook us into handing over money for their product. But this will never cure acne completely.
All these "over the counter" treatments normally just use one of the two "common" ingredients any way. Check the key ingredient for yourself and they will probably use…
Salicylic Acid or Benzol Peroxide
http://bit.ly/Drugs_Info_Salicylic_Acid_Side_Effects
What is really interesting is that these two products, while an effective way to treat existing pimples, actually create an environment to continue to bring on new pimples. Great business model Hey!!! They keep us even more dependent on their product through the solution they provide!!!
Nothing gave me significant improvement until I went to the doctor for antibiotics. There was a noticeable improvement but the side effects were annoying and as soon as i stopped the pills they came back.
Before we take any pills from the doctor we MUST check out the possible side effects…
I didn’t and I suffered for it!
The 2 common antibiotics prescribed are, Erythomycin & Tetracycline

So, the Dermatologist put me on Accutane (or Roaccutane) – Bad news terrible side effect, significant decrease in acne, but the side effects really stuffed me up (Joint pain, dry skin, cracked lips, etc – then Major Depression).

This is when I came to that point of complete defeat and realisation that…
"These treatments all have one thing in common, they are making the problem worse, not better"
After all this rubbish info & treatments, after all this money spent & time wasted.
I just wanted the truth! I wanted a COMPLETE CURE! No more ACNE! TOTALLY!
At this point i only researched and tried Natural solutions…
Within months they were the best results by far and the only side effects…I was healthier all round!!!
Check out this article. Acne primarily has to do with our Western diet
http://bit.ly/AcneLinkedToDiet_byDrMcDougal
The Doctors & Dermatologist didn’t talk at all to me about nutritions/hormones or skin care techniques & routines. They just want to write us a script and say, "see you next time"
When I went looking for a Natural approach and found
http://www.EliminateAcneCompletely.com
They outlined an excellent skin routine and diet in their system. They also have a brilliant email counselling service for support. They really know what they are doing to help anyone cure acne completely.
But whatever approach you end up taking, please think about the long term effects on your health. Drugs & chemicals are always a gamble with how much bad side-effects you will suffer from.
God Bless you as you take seek to take back control of your own health!
