What are some easy, effective, and inexpensive skin care routines?
I have very fair combination skin. My acne is not horrible but it is enough to agrivate me. I get it on my forehead, chin, next to my nose, and I get whiteheads on my cheeks and chin, and I get ALOT of blackheads on my nose.I have somewhat sensitive skin. My pores are not massive but they are visible. I don't have the money to buy expensive department store treatments or stuff like pro-active (which i hated), or skin- ID but it seems like drugstore products don't make any difference. Also my cheeks have uneven redness (NOT rosacea) that does not go away and that gets horrible and VERY red through out the day. And my skin is soft but very bumpy. My wish is to get skin that is so good that I don't have to wear makeup or at least only a little. Any help? please! I am desperate! I need all these problems to go away!?

OH my goodness! My skin is VERY similar to yours! WHOA!
Please read!!!!!!!!
Here’s what I have:
*fair combination skin
*small acne problems on my forehead, nose, around my nose, and chin.
*whiteheads and blackheads on my nose.
*red cheek problem!!! not rosacea as well. had it for years.
*soft skin but its kinda bumpy on my cheeks and upper jawline.
I have a great routine now. My skin looks a lot better.
My Skin Care Routine…..
MORNING:
I usually wash my face with plain old Softsoap in the shower. Then I apply a small dot of clindamycin phosphate gel. It is a perscription gel for acne, but I’m fairly sure you can find a similar over-the-counter solution at Rite-Aid if you give them the name.
After I shower, I pull my hair away from my face in a headband and apply Clean & Clear Advantage Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer all over my face. A bit more on problem/acne spots. I use about 3 pumps. It was about $6.99 at Walmart. I’ve had it for well over 4 months — it lasts! Gray and purple bottle!
***A note on makeup – DON’T slather on concealer. It does not help! I stopped using it and only apply Dream Matte Mousse foundation to problem spots and under my eyes. Cover up bad spots, but don’t try to cover your rosacea with foundation. Remember that you can clog your pores with too much makeup! ***
NIGHTTIME:
I wash my face with about a chocolate-chip sized dollop of Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power Cream Wash. It was about $6.79 at Walmart, in a white, pastel green, and orange tube/bottle thing. Amazingly, it does NOT sting my eyes when I rub some suds on my eyes to get rid of my mascara. It’s very gentle and smells great.
I dry with a washcloth and apply Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 to pimples only. I am not sure how much the Persa-Gel was, but I’m assuming about $5.99. Its a little white tube; I think it comes in a box. Lastly, I apply the same Clean & Clear Moisturizer all over my face.
Before you go to bed, make sure your hair is pulled away from your face. And wash your pillowcases often to get rid of bacteria and oil from your face!!!!
My skin has really improved — my acne calmed down and my red cheeks are not as prominent. I don’t have to wear NEARLY as much makeup anymore.
Hope I helped!!!! Message me if you need any more help!

I’ve written about this about a hundred times, but I’ll say it again:
Olive oil will really help moderate and sooth/moisture your skin, along with treating and preventing acne. Use extra virgin olive oil. Rub it all over your body after coming out of the shower. Or you can put it on right before a shower, let it sit for a while, then hop in and wash it off. Try it.

Here are some tips I know on treating acne:
1. Try Using Witch Hazel and Lemon Juice as an astringent. If you have oily skin and believe this exacerbates your acne or pimples, as the bacteria underneath, which has already clogged your pores, has trouble being released due to excess oil on the skin’s surface level, witch hazel and lemon juice are an all-natural remedy to remove excess oil from your skin. You can find organic witch-hazel at Vitamin Shoppe (www.vitaminshoppe.com). Lemon juice can be found at your local grocer.
2. Drink more Tea. Tea has extremely effective skin-healing, purifying, and antioxidant properties that have been proven to aid in acne and acne scar reduction. Red Tea and Chamomile Tea have particularly been found to be therapeutic in reducing acne, acne scars, whiteheads, and blackheads. Additionally, chamomile has been found to stop acne, especially in the essential oil form because of its powerful effects. Celestial Seasonings (www.celestialseasonings.com) makes both chamomile and red teas and they cost relatively little. Drink about 2-3 cups a day. Your acne-prone skin will thank you. Use Splenda ® to sweeten them. You can also aid honey and lemon, which both are great for skin health and acne.
3. Remove Excess Oils, Dirt, Toxins, and Free Radicals from Your Skin. Exfoliating is a must for anyone who has acne, pimples, or acne scars. The key, however, is not too overscrub your acne and to find a gentle acne cleanser. Look for a scrub that is all natural and contains scar and acne healing ingredients, such as lemon, baking soda, orange, chamomile, aloe vera, and salicylic acid. Beauty 4 Ashes ® Naturally Clear System, (www.discoverb4a.com) which recently won a 4.5 out of 5 star rating in Skin Health Magazine, creates an all natural acne system, which contains all of these things plus tons of other acne fighting goodies. It has received popular acclaim for its ability to lighten acne scars and remove blemishes without leaving the skin dry. It also has been show to treat many forms of acne, not simply acne vulgaris.
4. Make an All Natural Acne-Eliminating Potion. Wash your face 2 times a day with the following: 1 Tablespoon of Witch Hazel, 1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice, 1 Tablespoon of Brewed Green Tea, and ¼ Cup of Baking Soda. Your skin should show a difference.
5. Steam your face. Hold your face over a basin of warm, not scalding hot water for 1-2 minutes. Then place cold ice cubes on your pores. This will tighten your pores and help your acne

At any Wal-Mart you’ll find these masks by a brand called Montagne Juenesse. I like are the Vitamin one, even though it’ll make your skin a little red at first it really does make your skin look like its glowing in like 2 hours, seriously. Oh and definitely the peel off kind, I got the Dead Sea Minerals one.
Also, I do these "Aspirin Masks" once in a while…what you do is you crush us a couple aspirins and mix in a COUPLE drops of water with them. Just put them on your problem area’s, wait about 20 minutes and wash it off. The aspirin helps because it has acetylsalicylic acid, which fights inflammation, and as you wash it off it also helps to exfoliate. Don’t do it TOO often though, because aspirin is a medicine and all…the mask works wonders though! Read up on it at makeupalley.com, just type in Aspirin Mask, its such a great website for skin care.

Biore Biore Biore!!!!!
They have amazing products!!! They are usually $5-$10, depending on where you get them, per product.
I use the Warming Anti-Blackhead Scrub, and it works for pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads!!! In about two weeks, my skin is nearly all clear! I also use the Nourish Lotion, but there is a pore minimizing lotion you can get to reduce the look of pores. You can get blackhead strips for stubborn blackheads too!!!
Don’t use any other weird natural masks, because they hurt my face, not helped it, so watch out!!!
