Trying to clear up my acne, not sure what’s causing it?
I used to only use a wet wash rag with sometimes some dove soap to wash my face. I used to use Jergens Natural Glow on my face too, & I thought that may be the cause of some of my acne. Or maybe the make up I wear, but I wasn't sure. Well, since I can't stop using either of those things, I started to use creams to help me get rid of it.
I used ProActiv & then Nutrogena. Both made me develop large red patches under my eyes, & really burned. So I stopped using them both after only 2 & a half days trying each. ( I didn't mix them. I used them a month apart. ) I bought clearasil ultra. Not the scrub or the pore treatment, there's no little beads or anything in this one. It's just the daily face wash. How often is daily? I usually wash my face in the morning, & @ night. But should I be washing it more with Clearasil?
Please help, I'm desperate to get rid of these zits/blackheads. They make my face look dirty, which makes me seem like a dirtball! Here's some information that might help: I eat really good. I only drink Green Tea & water. I don't diet, just try to eat healthy. My face can't handle benzoyl peroxide. I try to shower atleast once a night. I wear dream matte mousse for cover-up, & lately have been washing it off when I come home from school. I don't have eczema or anything. I'm 16 years old. What's causing my acne? I'm a teenager, but no one else in my class has any pimples. & how often should I use clearasil? & by the way, has anyone ever used it? If so, did it work for you?
( Please don't tell me my acne is from puberty or growing up. It's not. )

start taking some vitamins
try zinc and vitamin c
vitamin c boosts your immune system and helps pimples heal faster if you get those really big red painfull ones
and zinc has no proof that it helps acne but i looked it up online and some people said it helped so i tried it and it helped me tremendously
i took 3 zinc tablets a day and my skin was completly clear within a month

K well. First of all, part of the acne most likely IS puberty. Meaning your hormones are all messed up and whatnot, which interferes with your skin and sebum production and whatnot.
Also, even if you eat healthy, it could still be the food you eat is being used by your body in such a way it is causing some acne.
And also, the foundation could be causing more acne. I would say invest in actual cleansers for sensitive skin, and try out different brands. And always look for reviews first.

Well, i’m not to sure of why your having these problems anyways
However the easiest thing to do is just do to a dermatologist
I went about 3 weeks ago, and my face likes SO much more better
When you day you used ProActiv and Nutrogena, the red spots may of just been from your skin not being use to the medicine.
Thats what happened to me when i went to the dermatologists, so i used the medicines less often, and it went away pretty quickly
hope this stuff helps

I dont think you stuck with proactiv long enough…same thing happen to me with proactiv… you have to start slow and gradually add things.. i use a face wash that has salcylic acid in it then(from target its a foaming cleanser in a bright orange container) i use proactiv repairng cream and the mask…those work great together…the make up you are wearing is probably causing it because i bet you put extra on to cover up your blemishes…you need to use a NON comodegenic makeup because it wont clog your pores which is making your acne worse…acne is genetic and everyone goes through the stages… i used clearasil and it doesnt work at all!!! you need to get back with proactiv just dont use the face wash…and sorry2 say but acne is caused by your stage in life…its a fact of life…
