   If the acne breakouts occured after starting the birth control, theres your answer. A change in hormones can definitely cause this. Be careful, my daughter suffered severe pancreatitis, and after seeing many specialists (including Stanford), we decided to stop the birth control pills and her symptoms all went away. The MD;s at Stanford wanted to do surgery. Be careful.
