solution to acne problems?
from and age of about 9 or 10 i've had really bad skin problems. We're talking acne, blackheads, white heads the lot. At that point I had my mum and she would give me these creams and stuff to sort this out and it was ok, not perfect but better. A couple of years back my parents passed away and i've been placed in foster care. Obviously my skin problems came back and I don't really have anyone to seek advice from. I'm fourteen and i'm not allowed to wear makeup so there's no way of covering it up. I do however have a paper round which i get some money from in which i could buy something to sort it out so were talking an extremely low budget here.
I'm fourteen and the taunting is getting to much so i just want something to clear up my skin for me. In my local town we have a superdrug and a boots so anythign from there that could help me.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to my problem and i hope you can help in whatever way you can :)

my 13 year old son has horrible acne.. i do too and i’m 29! we use retin-a cream.
if you’re in foster care, you should get government assistance for insurance…
your insurance should pay for prescription medication??? retin-a or the generic form would be best to use. it’s fairly cheap for the generic (about $10 a tube… but might be expensive for you) can you see a doctor? do you have insurance? i’m sorry you have to pay for this yourself :( i wish i could send you something. this is so heart breaking.
you’ll want salicylic acid 2% but the problem with over the counter stuff you buy in drug stores is, it’s not the right PH. look and see if they have a face wash called "sal-ac" or ask the pharmacist. it used to be prescription but can be bought over the counter now.
also, look for cheap benzoyl peroxide (sp?) it’s not the greatest, but might help a little. if you’re mainly blackheads, you need salicylic acid.
also, hormones are a huge role in this. birth control pills would help if they’d let you take them.
good luck hun… wish there was something i could do :(

I have sensitive skin and have had a good run with the neutrogena product line. The daily cleanser is gentle and smells nice. Every ones skin type is different (oily, dry, roscea etc) go into a pharmacy and ask for specific help for your skin type, the employee’s should be able to direct you to something to try out. I would also recommend seeing your family dr. to see about ointments and oral medication (if necessary) good luck! try to ignore the teasing, everyone has some skin problems during the teen years!

well there are some basic things u can use and are very inexpensive.
but alot will depend on the type of acne. whether u have dry skin, oily, or just zits.
aloe vera- whether straight from the plant (if u know what that would be) or u can buy it from any store. you want to get the most basic tho. clear gel and comes in a lotion type bottle. its a natural
herb/healing remedy. my bff puts it on at night b4 bed and when she wakes up.
rubbing alcohol- take a cloth or something soft and put it all over you face but not to close to your eyes or in your nose/mouth. it may burn depending on what kind of acne you have but it will reduce oilyness and dry out zits. the most basic rubbing alcohol is best. no need for anything fancy. the pure-er the better. once a day should be fine. let it sit for a little and then put some basic lotion on ur face so it doesnt get to dry. healing skin lotion or with oatmeal works good.
toothpaste- put it on direct problem spots at night then wash it off in the morning. its suposed to also dry out the zit making it go away faster.
good luck. and remember its not what other people think about you that matters. you are the only one who should be in control of how you feel. dont let others put you down. im sure your better than that. be strong. people only hate on you because there insecure about things within themselves.
