Skincare routine for a teenager?

I would really like to know some good products for a teenager to use that WORK! I have really oily skin on my forehead, nose, and chin. Even if I wash my face, an hour later, it will most likely be oily again. I constantly have pimples on my forehead, and blackheads on my nose. Though my chin is oily, it doesn't tend to breakout as much, but it has recently. My cheeks don't usually have any zits, though sometimes they may get one or two. I would really like to have clear skin when school starts in a little over a month.

Currently, I use Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser and Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. The face wash has almost run out so next I have a Cetaphil one to use. I have heard that I should be using:
-a gel or foam-based cleanser
-an alcohol-free toner
-an oil-free moisturizer with SPF for the daytime
-an oil-free moisturizer for the nighttime
-an acne spot treatment
-a weekly microbead exfoliator or acne masque

The questions I have are: What skin type do I have? (I think its combination-oily but I'm not sure) Do I really need to be using all of these kinds of products? What are good products to use that will help me have clear skin?

Feel free to add anything, but please don't tell me just to wait.

  1. Hey! I Know acne is a real pain but this is a really good treatment for it!

    Step 1
Wash your face, neck and hairline once or twice daily with your cleanser I highly Recommend Neutrogena . Wash gently by rubbing your fingertips in a circular motion and rinse with lukewarm water.

    Step 2
Purchase over-the-counter acne medications. You may have to try several before you find the best one for your skin. They come in a wide range of prices, and more expensive is not always better.

    Step 3
Be careful when using all skin products. Apply only oil-free make-up, lotion and sunscreens. The ones that read "nonacnegenic" or "noncomedogenic" are best.

    Step 4
Keep hair products out of your face. Cover your face with a towel while applying hair gel, hairspray and mousse. While taking a shower, wash your face last to remove shampoo and conditioner that may have run down your face.

    Step 5
Keep sweat, germs and dirt off your face. Pull back long hair when it’s hot, and avoid wearing hats and sunglasses.

    Step 6
See a dermatologist if your acne is affecting your self-confidence I am a Dermatologist but i cant perscribe anything to you online. A doctor may prescribe a heavy-duty medication or take further preventative measures.

    Step 7
Change your diet. Eating chocolate, candy and greasy and unhealthy foods can definitely affect your complexion. Limit junk food intake, get plenty of vitamins and lead an overall healthy lifestyle.

The 1# Acne Product is Neutrogena It is the Best product out there in the WORLD My Favourite is The Neutrogena Pink GrapeFruit Acne Wash Which Clears up Blackheads Pimples and Unclogs pores. They truly have amazing skincare products.

I really Hope this helps you out

  2. I think you have oily skin just like mine. I use Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser. I wash my face everyday and night. So far my skin hasn’t been as oily as before. I went to a dermatologist and they gave me pills and topical lotion for my skin. I could see the difference. Also for oily skin you should use a cleanser with salicylic acid or alpha-hydroxide to get rid of dead skin.

  3. my skin is combo aswell, but instead of oily my t-zone is normal and my cheeks are dry.
    i use
1.grapefruit neutragina scuba-love it, help alittle with blackheads around the nose area, leaves skin soft and get ride of the dead skin cells
2.noxzema deep moisturizing cream-wouldnt recomend for you if you have oily skin
3.noxzema anti-blemish pads-great for drying up whiteheads and good for oily skin
4.biore 4-in-1 foaming cleanser-i LOVE this is cleans out my skin and is gental enough but it also is strong enough aswell(try in the shower its amazing)
