Skin treatments for 20-something yr olds?

After 10 years of suffering from acne, I finally feel like I have my skin under control. While I still get a few blemishes, my skin is ten-folds better than it ever has been.

I'm looking for a nice skin treatment to do at home preferably that will help restore some life into my skin and possibly help reduce the appearance of the brown spots left behind from pimples. I would prefer for the treatment to be oil free so it does not clog my pores.

I'd love to hear what anyone has to say!

  1. There are some Salon skin care brands that are design just for this! You will need to stay away from any products with any form of alcohol or peroxide as these both strip the skin causing it to react more… reactions include those dark spots and redness as well as more break outs which is something your skin is just recovering from. The Dark spots are your skins protection mechanism they can tend to fade with time but there are "brightening" products on the market to help… go to a skin care salon and have a skin consult they will be able to recommend specific products after looking at your skin closely

  2. 1. Exfoliate (i use apricot)
    2. Good cleanser (i use avon)
    3. Toner (use an astringent)
    4. Moisturizer
    5. Eye cream to reduce puffiness (place in fridge for extra benefits)
    6. Once a week use Biore nose strips, and a pore minimizing mask!!!
