Roaccutane for only mild acne?

My acne is quite mild compared to many with acne problems but it still feel affects my confidence. I'm going to my doctor today to inquire about treatments for it (I've tried extensively modifying my diet (cutting out greasy foods, eating lots of fruit and veg), using neutrogena products and benzoyl peroxide daily, but I still get spots.
I heard that roaccutane is an effective treatment. But would a doctor prescribe it for only mild acne?

  1. Hi! You probably won’t get Accutane right off the bat. I would recommend going to a dermatologist right away because they deal with acne and other skin conditions all the time. When I went to the dermatologist a year ago, they put me on antibiotics and 2 different skin topicals. After a couple months, the topicals didn’t make much of a difference so they decided to put me on Accutane. I didn’t have horrible acne, it just would NEVER go away, what ever I tried.

Accutane will be a last resort because it is a very harsh medicine. If you’re a girl, you need to be on 2 forms of birth control all the time and you have to get monthly pregnancy tests, because if you get pregnant your baby will have SEVERE birth defects. You also have to get blood drawn regularly. Obviously, these things are minor if you can’t get rid of acne, luckily I’m a guy so I only had to get blood drawn, but there was one time the pharmacist almost made me get a pregnancy test. I couldn’t believe it, but they contacted the dermatologist so I didn’t have to. HAHA.

Accutane was definitely worth all the side effects for me. Now my face is clear, with a few little bumps, but there are no red or inflammed spots. I’m currently just back to using 2 topicals and it really seems to keep my face clear. Good luck with your acne, I know how annoying it is!!

  2. I was just going to ask this question, lol..ur like a copy of me, IM ALSO USING neutrogena products+ benozyl peroxide, i cut out all the greasy food, candy etc, I STILL GET spots

omg, this is so strange, i was just going to ask EXACTLY this question, plz dont say ur 17 years old..

    add my msn: 2good@live.se

lets talk about it accutane aka roaccutane, i also need to get it

  3. i was perscribed antibiotics by my GP b4 being transfered to hospital for accutane. antibiotics could work 4 u, and there safer. u should try them first.

  4. If you are in the UK a GP cannot prescribe Roaccutane, only a Dermatologist can.

Even a dermatologist would not give it to you for mild acne, even though it would be very helpful! The only way you will get Roaccutane for mild acne is to buy it yourself. If you did deicide to do that i recommend trying http://www.roaccutanesupplier.blogspot.com

  5. I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
