Quick 10 Points! What is the best facial/acne cleanser?

I have acne an I'm looking for a good exfoliating, acne(pimple) treating and cheap face cleanser that gets to work fairly quickly, not a Miracle treatment like that will get rid of pimples/acne fairly quickly. I also need one with exfoliating beads or something similar that will exfoliate my skin. I also have blackheads, a lot, on my nose and if I can use the same product to treat both pimples and blackheads, GREAT! If not I have no problem buying 2 cleansers. I also have some small acne like bumps on my skin and they are not pimples but look like them, there are recently developing under the chin in the groove.

Oh yeah I live in Australia and I'd prefer something i could buy in shops not online. I've tried Proactive and Clinique and they haven't worked to my surprise. I paid like for them. Now i want something cheap (under ), effective and works well and fast.

Thanks in advance.
Let me rephrase this sentence;
not a Miracle treatment like that will get rid of pimples/acne fairly quickly

not a miracle treatment, something that will get rid of pimples/acne/blackheads quickly.

  1. neutrogena has a fairly good range. you can try the neutrogena oil free acne wash. its the orange one and it costs around $13-$14 in supermarkets. it is not exfoliating but it contains salicilyc acid which is good in eliminating whiteheads and blackheads.

i personally dont think that its a good idea to exfoliate daily, but neutrogena has also the oil free daily scrub which you can use. i would just use it every second or third day, really. it costs about the same price as the face wash (i think its like around $12 or less). or you can use st ives blemish fighting scrub (its $10 in supermarkets) . i never try it but there has been good reviews on how good this scrub is so you might wanna give it a go.

after washing your face, you can use the benzac ac topical cream (you can find this in your local chemists). this is benzoyl peroxide and it claims to eliminate acne, unclog pores and blackheads etc. it comes in different strengths 2.5, 5 and10%. but i would suggest you to stick with either 2.5 or 5 and use regularly. ^^

as for moisturiser, there are lots of choices out there but atm im using the neutrogena oil free moisture for combination skin. its light and hydrating. the point is find a moisturiser that is non-codemogenic (i think that’s how you spell it ) and oil free so it doesnt clog your pores.

if blackheads is stil a problem, you can use biore pore strips and routinely use it weekly. it helps in reducing the amount of blackheads on your nose. alternatively, you can steam your face for 10 minuetes (just put your face over boiling water) to let your pores open, and then use the blackhead extractor (its this metal thing) and gently extract tha blackheads out. after you finish doing that, wash your face with your normal cleanser and rinse with cold water to close up the pores.

i hope all this info helps ^^

  8. newtraginia

  9. Clean and Clear. Just the regular one. Its like 5/6 US bucks. It works awesome.

  10. I use the Neutrogena wave. It’s really good.

  11. clean and clear morning burst beads

  12. The Neutrogena nighttime scrub works really well for me. It has exfoliating beads, and it smells really nice.
So do those Stridex pads, although it’s a pad, not a scrub.

  13. proactive

  14. i sue clean n clear..n t works

  15. Soap and water my friend.

  16. all do i get the 10 points??quick

  17. The Clean and Clear 3part package is pretty good if you stick to using it and not procrastinate like me. I don’t know if they sell it in Australia though.

  18. Proactive. It is a chronic acne remover.

  19. I’m not sure if this is in Australia hah

    I use Nuetrogena (spell check)
There is a lot of different washes by this brand.

  20. i used to have a lot of ance and pimples and i hated it and then i started using clean and clear and i barly have any ance………………..
so try clean and clear……..it helps really.

  21. well i’m guessing you didnt use proactive every day twice a day. if you do that that it really does work after about a week.

  22. Proactiv works for me.

  23. what i use for exfoliator is this stuff ..(i cant recall the name exactly) it comes with this little vibrating machine (older version) and you can get it at walmart. I believe it is a neutregina product. u dont need the machine but the actual stuff that comes with it is THE BEST exfoliator ever. I use that without the machine now because its amazing. As for blackheads, I dont know how to get rid of those because they always seem to return. I also like proactiv, but if you dont follow the instructions EXACTLY it doesnt work. Also, go to makeupalley.com and research the aspirin facemask ( can make it yourself). its a miracle

  24. St Ive’s Apricot Scrub

    Aspirin mask

    watch this

I go to a dermatoligist so i use their cleanser and creams but to exfoliate i use the above 2 things.

  25. what the F^CK is your rush about a cleanser? acne will take time to subside!

    Here are your choices:
1 go to a dermatologist and ask that person.

2 go to walgreens and choose whatever cream has the most benzoyl peroxide because that is what fights acne and the more the better.

  26. Proactiv is really good as it treats existing pimples and prevents any more from growing. but it’s not under $20

  27. I don’t know if its available in Australia, but I use Olay. I have a pretty oily face and it does the job w.out drying out my skin

  28. I used to have a lot of acne…And I have tried everything….Alcohol, clean & clear, seabreeze, everything…the best answer is..
DRINK a lot of water (#1 best answer)
CHANGE your pillows daily…If you can change sheets daily thats good.
Are you taking any supplements? Vitamins? Eat a lot of certain food? Candy?
I am a little older (30) and I still CAN get acne. I use "Walnut shell exfoliation soap with 2% salicylic acid" every day. I also use "Aveda" oil control formula to remove excess oil and prevent oil build up. Its like a facial matte. It contains clay which absorbes oil…

    Good luck!

  29. natural stuff its not fancy but it lowers your chance of armful side effects and i doubt you would get 10 points nice dude nice

  30. i do a few steps.

first i wash my face wit a mild facial wash. one that i found really well and works fast is murad. u can find it a sephora. its not the cheapest, but is 90% effective. it also depends on if you have really oily skin, combination skin, or dry skin. before you go to bed clean all ur pimples wit hydrogen peroxide, then put on neosporin to shrink them. when u wake up, wash ur face again, and then moisturize. one thing that works AMAZINGLY is oatmeal. you can mix it wit plain yogurt & honey, or just mix dry oatmeal wit water and put it on ur face as a mask until it dries. totally softens ur face. make sure ur not allergic to anything tho. and have patience. it’ll gradually get better, but wit the oatmeal ur face should look and feel healthier.

  31. Try " witch" from boots

  32. The best treatment for acne can be obtained from your doctor (not an over-the-counter product from the pharmacy/chemist). There are a variety of creams and gels that can be prescribed… the most effective that I’ve used has been Clindoxyl Gel. Ask your doctor about this product (or its equivalent in Australia).

You can also get a prescription for antibiotics which will do the same thing. Be sure to ask about these as well.

Neither option should be very expensive (and will more than likely be covered if you are on a drug plan).

  33. It works because i use and it make me look 5 years younger, and im only 16!!!

  34. Proactive.
