I don’t know if any official research has been done on this subject, but it makes perfect sense to me that probiotics would help to clear acne. Acne is often the result of toxins building up in the body, and the colon is the place where these toxins very frequently collect. It’s a well-known fact that the health of the colon often governs the health of the whole body. By taking the probiotics, you are helping to balance out the healthy bacteria in your colon, which will in turn help to clear out all of the bad bacteria that can multiply over time in there. Fewer bad bacteria = fewer toxins = better skin!

If you have acne and you have tried a number of OTC, what about simple home remedies, there are many items in your kitchen or backyard garden that can prove to be good for your skin and help to limit the problem, if not completely cure it.
You can try them at no cost, like aloe Vera pulp which is now a proven anti inflammatory and anti fungal, in many cases it has good results or at least it gives a soothing feeling.
Other easy remedies include tea tree oil, basil leaves and the most common kitchen item that is mint or cucumber.

Facial acne, especially around the mouth & jaw line, is often a result of food sensitivities. The stomach meridian begins just under the eyes, travels down to the corners of the mouth, across to the corner of the jaw & up the side of the face to the corners of the forehead.
Weakened digestion, combined with foods that are difficult to digest (greasy, fried foods, dairy, spicy food, etc) often result in stomach energy backing up & causing facial acne.
Probiotics help strengthen/balance the stomach, helping food break down & travel downward as is normal.
You’ll get even better results by cutting out foods that are difficult to digest.
A great book to pick up is "Healing with Whole Foods" by Paul Pitchford. Fantastic resource for healing imbalances with the foods we eat.
A local acupuncturist of naturopathic doctor in your area should be able to give you some dietary recommendations without charging you much – or anything at all. Check out http://www.acufinder.com for someone in your area.

You have used a lot of harsh chemicals on your face, I can see why you are still having a lot of problems. I am just a couple of years younger then you are. I have found that using 100% organic products works the best. I have found it to be a lot less expensive. I use a castile soap based face cleaner(dr. bronner’s is a good brand-one with tea trea would be good for acne). For a toner you could buy one or make one yourself. Organic flower waters, ACV, pure witch hazel, and aloe are all great. For a face mask I just use pure french green clay once a week. For my once a week scrub i use an organic one I bought or I make my own(easy to do-I often use raw honey, organic sugar, some herbal oils). After toning I normally use a mix of organic oils and emu oil(I have found emu oil to be the best working product for me).
I am often to lazy to make my own stuff..I get everything from mountain rose herbs.
*probiotics can be very helpful. Probiotics help you digest and better assimilate the nutrients from your food. That means your skin receives more of the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy.
I prefer non dairy probiotics…water kefir can be very yummy!
