PLEASE HELP! Need to get rid of acne in a week!?

I'm in a wedding next Saturday (just over a week from now) and it's the week before my period and as usual, I'm starting to break out horribly! I know from experience that it won't go away on its own before next Saturday, and I just can't seem to figure out what to do!

I'm looking for advice on spot treatments, masks, etc that I can try. I'm unable to get a facial or see a dermatologist, so any at-home solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I currently wash with Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask (3.5% benzoyl peroxide) in the morning and Noxzema Clean Blemish Control foaming wash (1% salicylic acid) in the evening.
I use the Neutrogena Cleanser/Mask as a Mask about once or twice a week.

It's the best combination I've ever tried.....but NOTHING prevents the pizza-face that happens once a month. :(
Sorry, 9 out of 10 people agree that paper bags are uglier than my face. Also, peanut butter? Sounds more tasty than useful, but I'll look into it... I forgot about the toothpaste thing, I'll definitely try that. Thanks for the quick responses so far!
I've tried ProActive.... The irritation turned my pizza face into a bumpy lobster face.

I used AcneFree for over a year, and it didn't work for me. :( But thanks for trying, I appreciate it :)

  1. Wash thoroughly with soap then rinse.
Then apply peanut butter to selotape and cover.
Not clear tape it looks weird. You should be fixed within days.

  2. Place a small bit of toothpaste on the red spots before you go to bed.

In the morning wash it off and then squirt a bit of eye stuff on it. Benzoyl peroxide is only good over long term (a few months).

  3. Unknown secret…Go tanning, tanning may not be extremely health but it does dry out your skin, especially in your face.

  4. Go to the doctor get a prescription for Retin A.
Google search it its the cure for acne. It costs around $35 last for ages and works like a charm.

  5. I have the same problem except I’m not going to a wedding. But someone told me this:

Make sure you wash your face every evening before bed.
Never leave your make-up on when you go to sleep.
Find a moisturiser that’s balanced for your skin type (eg. dry/oily/etc)
Try to go without make up at least 3 days a week.
Ex-foliate regularly but no more than twice a week.
For emergencies (a big pimple that’s really obvious the day before a date for example) I put toothpaste on it when I go to bed to dry it out.

    Try a steam treatment -
    "Steam At Home Acne Treatment

This is a very simple treatment where you take a bowl of hot water and a sheet or large cloth. Never use plastic – this is very important – you could suffocate if you put plastic over your head. Only use fabric that you can breathe through.

Fill the bowl with hot water and put your head over it, facing the water. Put the cloth over your head to hold in the steam.

Don’t have the water too hot. This means do not use boiling water from the kettle. Only use hot water from the tap.

You can stay for about 10 minutes (but just 5 minutes the first time to check for any adverse reaction). Then wipe your face with an astringent such as witch hazel or apple cider vinegar to clean off any oils that have been drawn out of the pores by the steam and close the pores. Test for any allergy to these products by applying them to a small area first. Cold water can also act as an astringent."

If they’re really bad and wont go away talk to your doctor, sometimes they can prescribe stronger creams.

Good Luck!!! Hope this works for you.

  6. Don’t rely on Proactiv.
    Lmao.
I use an acne product called AcneFree.
    It works so great.
It doesn’t have nearly as much popularity as Proactiv, but i think it’s because no one has really discovered it yet.
Anyway, it will start clearing your skin in 2 days, or less.
I’ve been using it for a while, and i have completely clear skin.
But i never really get a lot of acne in the first place.
Haha, im just saying. You should try it out, if you need a fast solution.

  7. To get rid of it would probably take a little longer but here is just a quick cover-up i use.

I Use Revlon Color Stay blemish concealer. I was recomended it by a woman that works at Sephora because it has medicine in it that helps get rid of the blemish! it helps clear and prevent blemishes. i just dab it on my face where i need it and then use a sponge(some women use their fingers or a make-up brush) to even it out

I then but foundation on to make my face look smoother and cleaner. i guess foundation could be opional but it looks much better. I haven’t tried tented moisturizer with it yet but i have heard it works the same way as foundation

You can buy the concealer at Wallmart(where i got mine), Walgreens, etc

You may want to get it fast because they run out of concealer fast at a lot of stores
