pimple issues?
i have sensitive skin and suffer from pimples. i tend to use noxema facial washes (spec. triple clean, blackhead cleanser, etc.) and acne pads (noxema triple clean, Oxy pads) and/or liquid acne treatments (10-0-6, etc.). these products clear up my skin for a while but i still suffer from pimples and sometimes i breakout in the same spots i used to have pimples in after they cleared up for a month or so. Does anybody know any tips, products or home remedies they have heard of that may help? How about for bug bites? Prickly heat rash on the back?
i've tried clearasil and clean n clear but they make me break out more and turn my face red.
My choices for best answer are: Stara, purplehaze08, kay j., melinda, and me. Thanks to everyone who answered and for the great tips on products and sites to check out.

Hi Rita,
it’s important to inform yourself first before buying the wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.
Your best bet would be to check out

Make sure you bookmark it for future reference. Read through the products review section. The #1 rated listed there (and which I used successfully) is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural.
I’ve literally wasted hundreds on other "miracles" but this one is highly efficient and that’s what only counts for me.
Hope that helps.
All the best,
Melinda

The best thing on the market for pimples and acne is ProActiv. It is a little expensive, but, well worth the results!

Before buying ProActive…try witch hazel (you can buy it at your local drug store). It is really cheap and it won’t burn or turn your skin red. Just put it on a cotton pad and apply it to the skin that has broken out. But first remember to wash your face with acne soap (like neutrogena).

Yeah, the first response you got was right. ProActive is really the best stuff out there short of seeing a dermatologist. Believe me I am in my 30′s and have suffered from acne problems and tried nearly everything on the market. While it is expensive and if you go to the website to purchase it, you have to join a club and have it automatically shipped to you monthly (which I just refuse to do personally), you can also always find it on ebay for $15-20. If you want to really fix your acne problem for good, give it a try there rather than joining the ProActive club. Best of luck friend :)

I had the same problem that you did. I learned from my esthetician that if you don’t moisturize daily that your skin can get even oilier because those products are drying out your skin and your skin starts to produce more oil to counteract the dryness. I started to use a moisturizer at night and it didn’t take away all my pimples but my face did look clearer and it had a more even tone to it.

I had a tough time with acne. I use Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gel and it works really well. I also, drink a lot of water. I had such a problem with acne. Knock on wood, Aloe Vera Gel and drinking water works for me. I also, quit smoking and that helped a lot. I hope this works for you.

Avon’s skin care line is great for sensitive skin. I have a lot of friends who’ve switched from Proactive to Avon for one reason or the other. I’ve tried a lot of cheap over-the-counter products, too, but only use Avon now because I love it. Try Clearskin Blackhead Cleanser and toner. The Invigorating Scrub is oh-so refreshing. I would use True-Porefection’s facial lotion. 100% guarantee or your money back!
After cleaning any bug bites, I would use Neosporin to help with itching and healing.
Keep heat rashes clean and dry. Drink lots of water to flush out your system.
