ok so i need help with this pimple!!!?

ok so basically i need to get rid of this pimple overnight. i got it on wednesday and i popped it and kept picking at it (i know i could kill myself for doing that) so now its like this big red scar type thing. i guess you could say. and whenever i try to cover it up it just goes back to the big red spot on my chin. so is there something i can put on it over night? to make it go away or less red or ANYTHING? i was thinking toothpaste but that would only make it more red. is there some other home remedy type thing i can use? i have clean and clear acne spot treatment but that only dries out pimples. it doesnt help with this kind of "pimple". so please any helo would be great! i got to get up early tomorrow so i dont have time to really do anything in the morning so please help nowwww! =) thanks!

  1. its red because its irritated. try putting ice on it for a while to calm it down. Colgate toothpaste always worked for me. or a cotton ball w/alcohol. It won’t go away, but it might calm it a bit. Sorry.

  2. lemon juice should help…put a little bit on a cotton ball and put it on the pimple…leave it on overnight and that should help.

  3. Hey!
Ugh I hate pimples!! Something that I do is use baking soda rubbing alcohol.

  4. Toothpaste would help.
It wouldnt make it redder. It would make it dry up, scab, and peel.
Also, you could try using the clean and clear.

  5. Hi Penelope, :)

If it was me, I would try rubbing in some Preparation H and hope for the best. It just may just be somewhat smaller in the morning -OR- toothpaste. See below.

"Acne is a major concern for a lot of people. Personally, I have tried almost everything under the sun for acne, including expensive creams from a dermatologist, which only aggravated my sensitive skin. I am 24 years old, so the stuff in drug stores marketed for most “teen” acne was also too harsh for my adult face. Nothing worked until I did some research and read somewhere that applying MILK OF MAGNESIA (Philips laxative) to your face every night and leaving on as a mask, would eliminate acne VERY quickly. It worked fast, and best of all, it is less than $4 for a big bottle. I also heard that hemorrhoid cream (such as PREPARATION H works wonders on puffy eyes. Jennifer Love Hewitt swears by TOOTHPASTE (APPLIED OVERNIGHT TO THE BLEMISH) TO HEAL PIMPLES. "

  6. There is virtually nothing that will get rid of it overnight…absolutely nothing. However, you can do a few things that may help it. It sounds more like the scabby aftermath of a popped pimple more so than an active pimple. Because of this, no, toothpaste won’t work and neither will any other "drying" agent like benzoyl peroxide nor lemon juice – though lemon juice works wonders on active acne and gives your skin a glow.

You may want to use some neosporin type of cream or gel. I always use the off brand ones, because they don’t contain the extra ingredients that neosporin does. I usually use the gel that merely has one inactive ingredient of white petroleum. Don’t worry – it’s actually non-comodegenic and won’t clog your pores as a lot of people believe. Anyway, just apply some to the spot only, and use a small, sterile band-aid overnight. Depending on the severity, this should reduce some of the redness and help it start to heal. Just remember not to make a habit of doing it regularly so your skin doesn’t build up a resistance to the anti-bacterial properties of the neosporin or whatever brand you use.

If the idea of using this still bothers you, try so aloe vera. No, not the crappy stuff that comes in the sun tan aisle loaded with oodles of chemicals. Either buy a plant and use the juice straight from it, or buy some form or pure organic juice like Lily of the Desert. The aloe will help your skin to heal more quickly and should reduce redness as well if you apply it to the spot or even your entire face.

I have used both of these techniques and they both work wonders. Like I said, don’t expect a miracle overnight. Using these methods will help reduce the appearance of it, so it may be easier to cover with concealer or something if you’re a female. Also, if you notice a large pimple starting to show up, you can use the neosporin technique (again, not constantly) I have done this before, without popping it, and on some joyous occasions, the pimple had actually vanished or became completely invisible the next day – I could still sort of feel it under my skin, but it didn’t look bad and went away quickly. Hope that helps
