Nighttime moisturizer for acne prone, large pores, oily/combination skin?
Are there any moisturizers for night time without mineral oil in them? I use Ponds and while it does the job and doesn't break me out, I notice my pores look bigger and congested in the T zone areas and especially on cheeks near the nose. Plus I have blackheads, so I want to help with those too. But I NEED a nighttime moisturizer for after I wash my face, it gets too tight and dry without it.

I have your type of skin except mine is just oily. I use Cliniques Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (they have a lotion too). If my acne medication drys me out a bit, i use Garniers new Moisturizing Gel-Cream (It comes in a glass jar). After washing your face, use an alcohol free toner. I would suggest Neutrogenas Alcohol-Free Toner (blue bottle). Let it dry a little bit leaving the skin slighty damp. Then add your moisturizer so it can lock in moisture better. For blackheads you can do many things. Make sure you exfoliate maybe 3 times a week and use pore strips. You can buy biores but that can get costly. I suggest making your own! You can use non-toxis elmers glue and smear a thin layer on your nose (or anywhere you get blackheads) and let it dry, then peel away. OR buy a pack of Knox flavorless Gelatin from the grocery store and mix it with milk. Put it in the microwave and let it cool a little. Apply to your blackheads with your finger or an old foundation brush you won’t be needing anymore.
Here are the intructions:
Take 1 Tbsp. of Knox unflavored gelatin and 1 1/2 Tbsp. milk. Microwave for 10 seconds and apply to face. Let it dry for 30 minutes (will dry very stiff). Peel it off. This works just like Biore Strips.
Hope i’ve helped!
