My acne's getting worse, please help?

My acne used to be moderate, a pimple here and there, but it's getting much worse. I have acne all over my chin, on my forehead/between my eyebrows and on my cheeks. i used to have it on my nose along with blackheads, but biore pore strips cleared that up.
I just bought a couple of products that I thought would clear it up - neutrogena face wash, clean&clear acne moisturizer and clean&clear spot treatment. I have been following the wash, moisturize, spot treat routine religiously twice a day, but this somehow aggravated my acne! Does anyone know how I can clear it up? Are the products I'm using bad for acne, and do you have any good product recommendations?
Thanks so much.

  1. ummmm….you could try that stuff there talking about on tv all the time sorry i can’t remember the name but they talk about how acne is something that you can see a doctor about i think its epiduo
or that other stuff they talk about something with versa foam technology
    what i do:
    Noxzema cleaning pads
    rubbing alcohol
    shesheido cleanser
    kroger brand acne gel

i keep the noxema pads in my locker just in ccase my face feels oily during the day
    rubbing alcohol dries out zits
    cleanser for the shower
    and acne gell at night
and don’t foget to hydrate your skin
you could have irritation due to the fact your skin is TOO dry

  2. Tried Proactiv? Cured mine completely in one month.

  3. Heya I am a makeup beauty guru and youtube and I have just filmed a video about all the cause of acne and how it can be cured. The video is just uploading so should be up in about an hour. I would really recommend you watching it.

As far as products go I would stay away from any exfoliators and these can be harsh on the skin and aggravate the breakouts. Also many products designed for acne are very harsh so look for products for sensitive skin and normal skin. A good range for acne from experience are the Garnier skin care range. When you have cleansed you skin always follow through with patting cold water onto the face, this will close up any open pores and help prevent oil from getting in.

    Hope this helps

  4. Go to the doctor or dermatologist. They can give you medication. I got Accutane and my acne is completely gone.

  5. Look at your products, does it say oil free AND fragrance free? Oil free Is not enough, it has to be fragrance free. If it says fragrance in the ingridience, don’t use it. Any product you use for acne should not have those 2 in the same product. Go to Walmart and walk around, you will find one. It might be the foundation you are using too. It goes for the same thing with foundation. Fragrance and Oil free. Good luck

  6. First, you need to evaluate what’s going into your body:
    - Are you hydrated enough?
    - Are you eating properly?
    - Are you destressed and getting enough sleep?

*Then* look at your product selections. Honestly, most over-the-counter products will not work for sever acne like you are describing. But most importantly, educate yourself about skincare. Reference link is my favorite acne blog because the advice is written by professionals.
