Ladies, would you date a guy with acne?
I suffer from acne breakouts and I'm in my 20s. I've tried everything to stop them, but nothing has worked. I wash my face every morning and night, I shower everyday, I apply acne treatment, but I still have a few spots on my face.
Ladies, would you date a guy with acne?

of course!(:
ladies would date anyone, as long as he was considerate, faithful, and trustworthy. everyone suffers from acne, its a natural thing. i dont think you should be deprived of a relationship just because of a few spots here and there! girls dig confidence in men, so put your shoulders back and walk like everyone’s watching(: i’m sure you’ll get a woman, you’re still young! oh and a definite plus if your body is in shape!
acne advice: go see your dermatoligist. eat a lot of FRUITS(: potatoes and yams help a lot! i like the neutrogena brand, especially the neutrogena wave. acne scars will fade in a couple of months to a year!

i would, because i suffer from bad acne as well..

my sister has the same problem, and i will be honest: it makes guys physically less attractive, but sometimes guys like you have really sweet personalities and are funny and caring(: just remember to treat a woman right and you’ll have the hottest girlfriend on campus! (if youre in college) haha

I would, and I have in the past. Have you went to see a dermatologist perhaps?

yes i would. once a girl (most girls) are in their 20s, looks don’t matter as much (ofcourse they matter but not as much).. but personality definitely is. If you are a sweet guy with acne you will always be "a sweet guy" not "sweet guy with acne" with most girls. Just don’t let her see your insecurities about your acne and try to show confidence because that is always attractive :)
AND i had serious acne problems before but I don’t know.. have you tried talking to a skin specialist? they really work even if it takes a little time to show the results :) Good luck!

Sometimes stress causes your acne to be very stubborn. Use cotton wools and warm water every morning and every night before bed. See your doc, they provide something for spots and it helps alot. My boy is 12 and have spots and anything i bought off the shelf doesn’t work. Doc’s prescription works. Try it.
As long as you are funny, honest, kind, loving, caring…you are on the roll with a great girlfriend who wouldn’t mind your spots at all.

Yes I would (and have) because it’s all about personality for me. If you’re a nice guy then I don’t care how you look and I would hope you wouldn’t care that I have a few spots either. My first boyfriend was overweight and also the sweetest guy on the planet. My second boyfriend was hot and an a**hole, so looks really aren’t the kicker for me.

yes, i have no problem with that.
my dermatologist told me that a person whose acne problem in their 20s means that he has good hormone ( quite much actually) so he has good (strong) sexual appetite.
not bad at all, right ?

It sounds like you have been using over-the-counter treatments and those often don’t work for people with persistent/serious acne. A couple of my friends with your problem have tried strong medication (Acutane) available through their dermatologists. They are both now acne-free. Have you tried asking your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist so that you can get prescription medication?
We all have insecurities about certain aspects of our appearance. Often we think these problems are way more serious than they actually are. Some short guys think they will never get a date because of their height, very pale women often worry about not looking tan (that’s my insecurity), and so on. Next time you’re out walking on the street, take a look around. I bet you’ll see a lot of people who don’t look perfect, who are with boyfriends/girlfriends.
So acne isn’t beautiful, but don’t worry too much. Unless you have very bad acne, most women probably won’t care about it at all. I wouldn’t and neither would my friends. Yes, there probably are a few women out there who hate acne and those women won’t date you. But I doubt you’ll notice that they’re missing. Good luck and don’t forget to see a dermatologist.

Yes. As long as it is not so severe (i.e., face full of acnes), girls do not really worry about it. If your personality attracts her, whatever you look like, it will not really matter. I sometimes have 1-2 acnes on my face (I’m 21), but it does not really change my face, although it is irritating. So just be confident, and maybe find another treatment for your acne that works on you. Don’t wash your face too often, they say it can cause more acnes. And don’t touch your face too much, because our hands carry lots of dirts that cause acnes.
