I've tried everything, and I still cannot get clear skin?
I wash my face twice a day everyday with face wash that contains salicylic acid (neutrogena stress-fee face washes) and I use spot treatment that contains benzoyl peroxide but my skin still breaks out. I use foundation that won't clog my pores and I take it off whenever I get home from school. I've also tried proactiv and other 3-step systems and other face washes but my skin is never perfectly clear. It's not like horrible severe acne but its enough where its annoying haha. Any suggestions? sorry if that was long

Have you seen a dermatologist? Sometimes over the counter medications don’t do the job. When I was maybe 13 and 14, I had bad bad acne and even though I washed my face twice a day with face cleaner it didn’t really work. So I saw a dermatologist and he gave me a prescription that cleared the acne right up.
By the way, Proactiv is a waste of money. Which maybe you have figured out already. But it doesn’t work.

sometimes there’s nothing you can do about acne. it’s a stage everyone goes through and you just have to deal with it. don’t worry about it and it’ll go away…eventually

Drink lots of water every day. You can take an over the counter vitamin specifically designed to help keep your skin clear (like Hair, Nails & Skin multivitamin).
Also look at what you have eaten before a breakout. A lot of people don’t realize that dairy allergies are the leading cause of acne.
Make sure you are using a face wash made for your specific skin type. Always use a toner or astringent after washing your face (you’ll be shocked how much make-up & dirt your face wash leaves behind!).
Always be gentle! No squeezing, pulling, pinching, hard scrubbing, etc.
Clay face masks also sometimes help pull dirt & oil out of your skin (usually once or twice a week for a facial is plenty).
If being consistent & doing everything you can do does not help, then go to see your doctor or a dermatologist (you may need antibiotics depending on the severity of your acne).
Hope I helped!

OK, acne is a thing everyone has and every one will get eventually. I use these little pads in a circular container. It is called STRIDEX. It is fantastic. All you have to do is take one and washy your face down with it and do this 2 times a day. You will see improvements in the next couple of days. You can get it at your local dollar store or dollar general. it is fantastic and you’ll love it!

It completely depends on what type of skin you have. My estetician said that cleansers with salicylic acid are way too drying for most people and will actually CAUSE breakouts if you have the wrong skin for them.
I swear by Dermalogica – it was recommended to me and after keeping the regiment for a long period of time, my skin always looks great.
If you have a genetic predisposition for acne, you can get a prescription from a Dr. My sister was on acutaine forever, but I think there are better products on the market now.

I had acne from 7th grade until just a couple yrs ago, I am 26 now. The ONLY thing that worked for me and took my acne away permanately is apple cider vinegar. It is the absolute best facial astringent I have ever used. You can’t really find it in stores unless it is for cooking, and that is different…you don’t want to use that. You want to get raw, organic apple cider vinegar with "mother". You can find it online for $2.99 a bottle. And it lasts forever. You just use it on a cotton ball every day, I used it about 3 times a day and in two weeks my acne was completely gone. I’m not kidding. There is a local day spa here in my town that uses it on their customers when they come in for their weekly facials….if you’d like I can give you the e-mail addresses for them so you can hear all about their experiences. I believe in it so much, I will be willing to buy you a bottle and send it to your house. 3 bucks isn’t gonna hurt my pocket any. Apple cider vinegar is a natural antibiotic, loaded with antioxidants. I have done research on it for two years….it is all over the net. I know there are A TON of "miracle cures" out there that people swear by. I do realize that. Some work, most are a crock of sh**!! I guarantee you this stuff works, and for the price, you have nothing to lose. It’s pretty stinky and if you decide to drink it as well, it’s the nastiest crap you have ever tasted in your life….but once you read all about it you won’t care, and once you start seeing results you won’t care either. I drink it daily because I have numerous health problems and it is freakin awesome. I originally found out about it because I googled natural or home remedies for dandruff. My hair is so freakin thick that I developed BAD dandruff and with my black hair….yeah that wasn’t so fun. Then realized all fo the other benefits that came with it. It COMPLETELY CURES these conditions (if you don’t believe me, try it):
Acne, Blackheads, Poison ivy, Certain "uncurable" STDs,
Muscle aches/chronic arthritis,Dandruff,Scrapes/cuts/wounds heal way faster, Bad breath, Acid reflux/heartburn, overweight problems, Chronic fatigue, Common cold
All types of flus, Low metabolism,Constipation,Diareahha (or however you spell it) (and it is able to fix both problems because it kind of "evens your system out" to where it is supposed to be, so it will help both constipation AND diareaha. Same with if you are too skinny, it will help you be at the weight your body needs to be.Digestion problems Depression ,PMS and menstral crapms, Menopause SO SO SO SO much more! So I would suggest getting some, trying it out on your face AND drinking it daily (if it is too nasty for you, there are all kinds of drink recipes online that completely dillutes the taste). Because if you drink it daily, it will balance your hormones out where they need to be. And reading your question up there it looks like most of your acne problem comes from an imbalance of hormones. Acne can be formed from the inside as well…that is why a lot of teenagers, kids who are going through puberty, pregnant women, and women who are going through menopause have skin problems in general, because their hormones are all out of whack during those times. So drinking it daily will help that problem of yours, while applying it to your face as an astringent will keep the bacteria away. Apple cider vinegar is all natural….if you keep using those products such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, they will only cause skin problems in the long run. They cause wrinkles, redness of the face, you could even develop a permanent skin-sensitity problem if you keep using those things that are man-made and full of chemicals. So please, if you don’t listen to my advice about this, AT LEAST stop using what you are using and google some all-natural remedies for acne. There are certian at-home face masks you can blend up yourself that is made from fruits and vegetables that will not only help your acne but improve your skin condition in general. I know it is much easier to just go to the store and buy something, but if you want a great face that looks younger, without redness and acne scars, and sensitivity issues…go all natural! I would suggest using cetaphil as your facial cleanser. The bar cleanser is pretty cheap and works GREAT! It is very gentle on your skin and it doens’t have actual soap in it. It won’t clog your pores and will balance out your moisture of your face that it needs. It is the number one dermatologist reccomended facial cleanser. Make sure you read up on which foods that you are eating may cause acne. Some are myths…such as chocolate. There are some foods that actually help get rid of your acne too, like fruits that are loaded with anti-oxidants. Another suggestion… drink A TON of water every day. Filtered bottled water is the healthiest, of course. Drink as much as you can…I drink about a gallon a day. If you can do more…go for it. You would be amazed by how much your skin will improve by just that alone. Take a multi-vitamin every day. Good for your skin in general, and also works great for balancing your hormones.Soy milk is awesome for balancing out your hormones as well. That is why doctors suggest and even prescribe soy pills to women who are going through menopause. Vanilla and chocolate soy milk doesn’t taste that bad. Watch out for the sugar content though.NEVER touch your face unless you absolutely have to. And use mineral makeup instead of foundations that can clog your pores. Even Nutrogena makeup and others that claim they are good for your skin are all loaded with chemicals and crap that can clog your pores. NEVER go without washing your face at night. Especially if you have makeup on. I would suggest just a quick swipe of the apple cider vinegar with a cotton ball every night if you don’t have makeup on, it will take the dirt and oil right out of your skin.Do what you can to keep your stress levels down. Excersize, meditate, do yoga…whatever it takes. Stress causes acne!
Well I’m done jabbering for the day…. I’ll leave you with some websites to read up on about the apple cider vinegar….please make sure you do!
