Is this skincare routine alright? What should i eliminate/add?

i'm a teen. i have super oily skin! (in the middle of the day you could fry chicken using the oil off my face and it looks so shiny, that's why i go through a pack of oil blotters so quickly!)

Morning:
-clearasil daily pore cleansing pads (2% salicylic)
-aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer
(Oil-free/hypoallergenic/noncomedogenic)

Night:
-clearasil daily pore cleansing pads (2% salicylic)
-prescription trerinoin gel:0.01%

once a week i use Queen Helene Mint Juliep Masque (do you think i could use this everyday before school if i wanted to?)

to treat huge pimples i use: clean & clear advantage acne spot treatment

also...i'm interested in buying cliniques pore minimizer t-zone shine control to help my oilyness....

i've tried everything!:::

differin
clinique washers and cleansers
neutrogena
biore pore strips
etc.

what do you think???

  1. this is how your skin care routine should be: cleanse, tone, moisturize

in the morining, do not use the cleansing pads. get a fash wash/ cleanser. use something like neutrogena oil free pink grapefruit acne wash. that is really good. and once ot twice a week you could use a exfoliating face scrub. neutrogena, clearasil, biore, anyone sells them

then use a toner. some toners are really harsh and make your skin dry. basically, they make your skin tighter and it controlls oil. if you want a less harsher one, then use alcohol free toner. but since you fash is super oily, then just use a regular one. that will help.

use a moisturizer AFTER you cleanse and tone. if your face is dry, then you can use it. other wise it is kinda unnecessary, because sometimes it makes your face look oily. but if you still want to, make sure it is oil free, doesnt clog pores, is light, Oil-free/hypoallergenic/noncomedogenic. make sure it is only for the face and it is made for normal to oily skin. i recommend cetaphil face moisturizer for normal to oil skin.

you can use the face pads during the rest of the day. you should cleanse/tone/moiturize at night and in the morining (dont do it during the day). the pads are made during the day, use it when you have to. doing it unnessecarily can make your face tolerant to it.

and dont use the Queen Helene mask everday. use it once a week or every two weeks. its not good everday, your skin becomes tolerant and wont work well to it. but i am a fan of Queen helene. to use it, i would recommend you cleanse your face then use the mask. no need to tone. moisturize if you need to.

  2. dont change product so fast wait at least 4 weeks before you change and you are over using your products. wash your face ONCE in the moring and ONCE at night

  3. hey good thing your keeping good care of your skin. :) i actually have the driest skin ever.

and i think that you are using to many products.

steam your face one a week, it cleans your pores do it every sunday .
and if you have pimples get aspirin add a drop of hot water to it and put it on your pimple for 10 minutes, u will see a big difference more then a face wash.. try to reduce all the chemical products and add more fresh home remedies.

and only do a mask once a month.
