Is the Proactiv Solution Skincare line really worth it?

I'm a teenager and dealing with bad skin.. bahahah.
& of course. I haate it.
I've tried numerous clean & clear, neutrogena, aveeno, and even more types of products specially designed for acne, and oily skin.
but none of it really works out well for me..

And of course, I always watch those commericails with Jessica Simpson in it sponsering Proactiv, but seriously, does it work?

I have:
- Many blemishes, pimples, blackheads on my forehead
- Few blemishes above my upper lip
- Few blemishes/ pimpes on my chine
- Few blemishes around my cheeks
- & I have oily/ shiny skin

Here are a few questions:

- Have you tried Proactiv and would you reccomend it?
- What exactly should I be looking towards: Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, Reparing lotion, Proactiv® Solution 3-Step System plus Refining Mask and Oil-Free Moisture with SPF 15,
Mild Exfoliating Peel, Daily Oil Control, Deep Cleansing Wash and Advanced Blemish Treatment.. there's a lot of products!
- How much is it?
- Is it effective? Quickly?
- If you do not reccomend proactiv, then what works for you and what you would reccomend for me?
- And please feel free to add anything else about proactiv or any other effective skin products, and link, and videos would be greatly appreciated.

  1. - Have you tried Proactiv and would you reccomend it?

    Yes.

    - What exactly should I be looking towards: Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, Reparing lotion, Proactiv® Solution 3-Step System plus Refining Mask and Oil-Free Moisture with SPF 15,
Mild Exfoliating Peel, Daily Oil Control, Deep Cleansing Wash and Advanced Blemish Treatment.. there’s a lot of products!

Get the kit with the Toner, Cleanser, Repairing Lotion and Refining Mask. If you don’t get the kit then just get the reparing lotion and the Cleanser. Toner and Refining Mask don’t make a big difference.

    - How much is it?

The kit costs me about $60 CAD.

    - Is it effective? Quickly?

My skin cleared up in about 2 weeks.

If you have sensitive skin it might not be for you. It can really be harmful to your skin. But I would still give it a shot cause it really does work!

  2. jees girl narrow down your question a bit. go on their website and read about it. try skin id because i hear proactiv sucks.

  3. yes it works. i had serious blackheads and pimple on my forehead and i used it for like 2 weeks and it cleared everythign up.

  4. Proactive actually made my skin worse. i would say to stay away from it. it really is a rip off and they just try and sell you more and more crap that doesn’t work. I’ve had better results with the acne free skin care system sold at walmart.

  5. I’d say take the cheaper route and use an oil controlling face wash from a wal-mart/walgreens/etc… and just use the repairing lotion.

    OR

You could definitely buy AcneFee (3 step system) also at Wal-mart, and I like this MUCH MUCH better than proactive.

  6. I dont have that much acne and I don’t use it religously, maybe once every 3 days, but it says to do it 3 times aday. I cleaned my skin and mafe it soft but did not hep with acne very well, same with my brother. It was 40$ I think but you could check.

  7. Yes and no. It really depends on your skin. I tried Proactiv and all it did was dry my skin out. I’m now using AcneFree Severe. It really helps cool the skin and make it feel clean.

  8. I doesn’t tried that but i will give you other options. http://www.homegardencoupons.co.uk/home-garden-stores/feelunique.com/
That site offer skin care products. Try their tea tree oil products because when i always have pimples i just use their tea tree oil products and my pimples dry fast. Just try. There is no harm in trying. You’ll never know it helps you just like it helped me
