In need of non-comedogenic and/or oil-free make-up to hide acne scars.?
I'm 17-and-a-half, male and quite pale. I used to have quite severe acne but since using Freederm and a course of Tetralysal tablets it's cleared up quite a lot. Now I'm left with pinkish and reddish acne scars which I'd like to cover them up with the help of some non-comedogenic and/or oil-free make-up (perhaps a foundation).
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I’m sorry about your scars. I have grade 3 acne and even with the help of Retin-A I’m still working on fading the pigmentation left over.
I would suggest one of two things:
Jane Iredale is, in my opinion, the highest quality mineral makeup on the market. We were trained in it when I was in Esthetics (Skin Care) School. Not only is it really inert and non-comedogenic (a claim many mineral makeup companies make but can’t support with science), but it is used by burn victim patients to cover their scars. The only problem is that it is a bit expensive. Check out their site below.
Second, Bare Minerals is introducing a new line of matte loose mineral foundations. Their original formula has a bit of a glow to it that, as a boy, I don’t think you want. If you’re anywhere near an Ulta store or a big mall with a Bare Escentuals store, just go in an ask to be color matched. This option is cheaper, about $25 per pot and it will last you for a long time.

Dermablend is great for covering scars and discoloration.
Here’s the link: http://www.dermablend.com/
It’s kind of pricey, but check on ebay, you can usually get it cheaper there….that’s where I get mine. It really does cover up the scars. It’s also good for covering tattoos too, which I use it for as well.
Good luck & take care!
