I'm confused about my acne?
At the beginning of this year I began breaking out. I've been using neutrogena advanced solutions and recently started neutrogena daily scrub oil free wash. I seemed to have minimized some of the zits but i still can't keep up with breakouts. I'm a swimmer so I also need lots of face lotion seeing as the chlorine dries out my skin 7 days a week. I get the breakouts on my forehead, cheeks, nose, under my nose, and on my chin. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning my pores. Is there any way that I can minimize or close my pores before putting on lotion? My acne isn't severe but it's enough to bother me and lower my self esteem. Any product recommandations? Any tips?

Neutrogena sucks .
I suggest you visit the site acne.org and buy the DKR regimen or get suggestions from other members on what to use.

You need to find products that are non-comedogenic. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-noncomedogenic.htm You also might have really sensitive skin, depending on your age and where you are in your monthly cycle. Or you might have a small allergy to chlorine. Might be something to talk about with your doctor.

Moisturizer Moisturizer Moisturizer! You are drying out your poor skin so bad. Neutrogena contains sodium laurel sulfate which is not a good ingredient you want in your skin care product and will cause your skin to produce MORE oil, then you are in the pool so much your skin is really lacking that natural and essential oil your skin is needing. Toss your face washes and look for a cleanser that does not contain harsh ingredients, look at burts bees products. Wash only at night, and tone in the morning and after the pool. Find a good moisturizer to put on in the morning, after the pool and at night. Your skin is so deprived of moisture and oils its breaking out. Look out for fragrances and dyes in your moisturizer and dont use a body lotion. Your face has a different PH than the rest of your skin and is more delicate. Good Luck!
