If I use cocoa butter to get rid of my dark spots, will it cause acne?
I've heard that by using cocoa butter, you can get rid of your post acne dark spots. Is this true? I have oily skin, will using this stuff cause breakouts? My acne is starting to disappear, but I still have those pesky dark spots. What's the best way to get rid of them that doesn't involve getting laser treatments. I'm a teenager, so I can't afford that.

It does not cause acne as far as I know because I use to use it but I do know that it takes wayyyy too long to clear up dark marks..I would advise using something else or going to the dermatologist!

It will definitely over-moisturize your skin a fair amount. You may want to stay away if your skin is already oily. Maybe if you use it right after you wash your face, instead of a moisturizer?
I’ve never used cocoa butter for this purpose, so I wouldn’t know if it works or not, but your best bet is to apply it when your face is dry and free of oil as to not clog the pores.

Cocoa butter has mineral oil in it which is horrible for the face..I am not sure what you could do to get rid of dark spots…talk to your parents see if they will take you to a dermatologist

well cocoa butter really can break out skin on da face chest and back so u shouldnt really put it on those areas try using a salicyic acid astringent which will mildly inflame the skin causing the spot to lighten exfoliate and peel off
