I want to get rid of my acne, what should I do differently?
I am 14 years old and have moderate acne. I play a lot of sports. I want to get rid of it, but I don't know how. I use several products like: Astringent, Face wash, Spot on Acne Treatment, and a face mask. I wash my face 3-5 times a day and shower 1-2 a day. What should I do differently and how can I get rid of my acne and blackheads?

You should deffinitly NOT wash your face 3-5 times a day! That is way to much! Your skin will dry out, therefore causing a message to your oil glands to produce even more oil, and you end up with even more acne. The maxium amount you should wash your face per day is 1-3. I recommend only 1-2. I only wash my face once a day, at night to remove my makeup. I feel if I wash my face in the morning, it opens up my pores and by the end of the day my pores are clogged. I only use my Noxzema triple clean anti-blemish pads. They work so good! They have cleared up my face (for the most part) and I only usually use them at night, sometimes in the morning if I feel my face feels dirty. They have 2% salycilic acid, and overall, it’s just a great product. You don’t have to use this, But you don’t need all the acne treatments. I wash with only cerave or just water.

Keep your hands away from your face. Make sure you wash your face after sweating. Make sure you use a moisterizer…most importantly, don’t touch your face.

I think drinking water really helps hydrate your skin and prevent acne. it’s so easy yet it works!
And if there’s nothing else you can really do about it just put on concealer to hide your pimples, but i’ll warn you, it can irrate your skin a lot :/

Cleaning your face too much can actually make acne worse. I’ve had luck using Clinique products (soap, toner, moisturizer), with an exfoliating scrub once a week or so. Also change your sheets/pillowcases/towels at least once a week.
If acne is persistent, try seeing a dermatologist. They can help you figure out what you need to take care of acne.

your acne is probably hormone-caused which means that you may need to adopt a completely different approach. What worked for me was homeopathy as a long-term permanent solution to it.

okay your doing EVERYTHING WRONG!!!! you wash your face waaaay too much wich dries it out and causes more oil to form and clog your poors. and all that stuff your doing to your face is very harsh. wash your face twice a day thats it. ALWAYS moisturize after ( use an astringent or toner before you apply the moisturizer) then use a mint juble face mask once a week, and exfoiliate with a apricot scrub once a week too( you could find these items at your drug store) but dont use the scrub and the mask on the same day because it will irritate the skin. put ice on the zits to help it reduce in size and use tooth paste too( apply a little to the blemish) trust me it REALLY helps. and you could try and asprin mask and make your own lemon scrub(a mixture of lemon juice and sugar) and get alot of sleep and drink 8 glasses of water a day. use all of these tips and you’ll have beautiful skin(:

For one, I would not wash your face 3 – 5 times a day. Usually, morning and night is effective. If your active in sports, you could use a very mild soap.. Maybe your using too much acne medication at one time. Switch to every other day with the Astringent. Facial masks should only be done 1 week or 1 time a month. If your skin over dries, it can actually make acne flare up. Blackheads are extremely hard to get rid of. Doctors do use a needle sort to put into the blackhead to extract it out. There is a good facial scrub that says, for blackheads. If nothing works after a month or two, I would consider a visit to a Dermatologist.

The first thing you should do is reduce the number of times a day you wash your face with face wash.
1-2 times is the best, which means once in the morning and once at night.
Acne is not caused by ‘dirt’ on your face that can be washed away simply by washing your face many times. In fact, this may aggravate your acne by over drying your skin. If you have oily skin and wash your face constantly to reduce oiliness, it can actually cause your skin to produce even more oil to balance out the dryness caused by over washing.
Use a gentle face wash twice a day.
After drying, you can try applying a homemade greentea toner. (Make a cup of green tea and allow to cool before using a cotton pad to apply over your face). It is calming and can reduce some oiliness(which i assume you have?)
Also, perhaps once a week, you can try an egg mask.
First, crack an egg and separate the white and yolk.
Put some egg white in a small bowl and mix some honey(preferably organic), mixing till there are some bubbles.
Spread a thin(or adequate) layer on your CLEANSED face, wait 10-20 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.
The egg white tightenes pores, reduces oil and smooths the skin texture. Honey moisturises and promotes healing.
After patting dry your face, get some of the egg yolk and spread a thin layer over your face.
Wait 10-20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. It may be harder to get off, so just try to gently massage it off while washing. Do not scrub with a towel.
The egg yolk mask is a rich moisturiser and can help in healing blemishes.
Dry your face and put a thin layer of non-comedogenic(does not clog pores) moisturiser.
The key to preventing/getting rid of acne is patience. Do not touch your face unless necessary. Always pat your face with a towel instead of rubbing. Don’t use too many facial products(might irritate your skin) or keep changing them(products takes some time to show it’s effects).
Note of caution, you might want to test any new thing you want to apply on your face on your wrist or a small part of your face first before using it on your whole face. This will make sure you do not use something you will be allergic to.
All the best! (:

just take really good care of it. wash your face twice a day with a gentle face wash, tone (if you dont have a toner than skip it, you dont need it but it helps) and then moisturize. defiantly use face wash and a moisturizer. you should have those things, right? please please pleasseee do not pick or pop anything! its an awful habit to get into. trust me! and it just leaves scars and creates more acne, and makes it red and irritated making it look even worse. since you get it on your forehead, it could be caused by bangs. so as much as possible keep hands and hair off your face. and in a couple of weeks you should have clear skin. i hope this helped! (: good luck
