I need a better makeup routine?

I'm fine with my eye/blush/lip makeup, but I need a new foundation/concealer/powder routine. It takes me forever to get ready all because of my makeup. I hate it, but I can’t go out without makeup; I hate my face. I have a lot of redness around my nose, chin, and cheeks. I also have dark circles under my eyes and nothing helps (including sleep, that's just the way they are). I have a few small dry, flaky patches, yet my face is mostly oily. I have several red pimples, along with many red marks left from old pimples. My face gets shiny within an hour and sometimes by the end of the day I feel like my makeup has turned orangey. I need something that’s quicker, covers well, lasts all day, yet still looks natural like I'm not wearing any. I’m wondering if primer would help?

My current routine: Clean & Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer, Advantage Acne Spot treatment, Physician’s Formula green powder, Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance, Maybelline mineral power concealer, Physician’s Formula Organic Wear loose powder.
I can't afford anything expensive. I want to stick to something I could buy at a drug store.. or a Target/Walmart.

  1. Start from the beginning –

Wash you face with warm water. Always splash your face first to open your pores. Use you face wash and then splash with cold water to close pores.
    Pat dry dont rub.
Moisturise when your face is still damp.
Apply your face primer or acne treatment.
Concealer. I use two concealers. One with a higher pigment to hide my blemishes and dark circles and another (a liquid concealer this time) to give my face a more even complexion. Why not try MAC Studio Finish Concealer, MEMEME flawless concealer or the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer.
I now fill in my brows
Foundation – choosing the right foundation is so important. Go for a foundation that is right for your skin type. I’m currently using the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in #21.
    Powder

If you find you makeup becoming oily use blotting powder to take of the cakey part then gently dab with a tissue and reapply.

  2. well i use dinair airbrush makeup and it works as a foundation/concealer…its amazing cause it covers every imperfection and makes my skin look flawless…its amaizng!! its also all water based so its not bad for my skin cause it just sits on the surface and doesnt clog my pores…ive been using it for almost 3 years now and i LOVE it!!! anywho, hope i helped you…=)!

  3. i use to be like you, i went to the dermatologist and the prescribed me wonderful medications and pills for my acne my face is beautiful now but if u dont have insurance they gave me some face cleanser and it works beautiful i only use that everyday and it works its called PURPOSE clear bottle with blue label infront you can get it at Rite Aid or Walmart. and you should get Bare Minerals makeup your face needs to breathe and dosent need to be clogged with all the makeup. When i go out on weekends i use mac makeup only. Sometimes just foundation because the powder may make it look cakey. try it!

  4. The best place I have found for makeup tips is http://www.examiner.com/x-29020-Rochester-Makeup-Examiner. There’s lots of articles there that cover lots of different makeup woes. There’s articles about finding the best colors to make your eyes pop, there’s articles for how to apply eyeliner right, how to make pale skin pop, how to use colored mascara, how to do smoky eyes, and much much more! That would be the first place I would look.
