I like to tan, because it makes my acne look better, and I know that I get tan, and get red, and then that….

causes my body to produce more oil on my face, which means that there is dead skin cells clogging my skin pores, How can I still tan, and get rid of the dead cells?

I use Murad Acne Complex treatment, but I don't know if that helps or not.(with the oil on my face.)

I have a thing from Proactiv and it is the stuff with the minny beads or whatever they are called and I wonder if that would work?

But it is part of another acne treatment plan I use to use....

So, what can I do/use to help get rid of the dead skin cells?

  1. Exfoliate with a gentle scrubbing face wash, but not immediately after tanning, wait like 4 hours then make sure you moisturize after.

  2. Tanning only temporarily improves your skin. In the long run, it actually makes your skin worse, though. It stretches out your pores and that makes them easier to clog. (And huge pores aren’t very pretty even when they’re not clogged.)
Tanning will also increase your chances of skin cancer and it will cause premature aging when you’re older. If you really like being tan, there are plenty of sunless tanners. (So don’t tan!!)

That said, I can’t stop you if you really must tan. Make sure that after you wash your face, that you use moisturizer. There are lots of moisturizers made for oily skin. If you let your skin get too dry after you wash it, its going to make your skin produce more oil, which will make your problem worse. You can also try improving you diet by eating more fruits and veggies. (Foods high in Vitamins C, A, and E are really good for your skin.)
