I have tried everything to help my acne-its ridiculous; PLEASE HELP!?

I have tried topical creams, facial scrubs, face washes, and some around-the-house "remedies", and even tried Pronixen, supposedly the 2nd best acne treatment of 2009.. I'm done spending money on this stuff that doesn't work so what is some things that work that I probably have around the house?

I'm 16, my acne type would probably be considered severe and consists of SEVERE blackheads on my nose and white heads, pimples all around my cheeks and chin. I'm currently using Stridex face-was pads twice a day and it isn't working well.

This acne drains my self-confidence more then anything ever could and I would do anything to get rid of it.

  1. This method can get rid of them in 1 to 3 hours when going to sleep.

Before you go to bed, do these steps. In order please.

Take a washcloth, papertowel, not toilet paper because it sheds easily, but just soak that washcloth in the hottest temperature of water your sink can provide. Just hold it on that whitehead, or red pimple for 10 seconds. Now redo this 2 more times for 10 seconds each. Doing this opens up your pores, and sends bacteria to the top of the zit.

Now, if you can, do not pick at the whitehead. Instead use a needle or something sharp at the end, to lightly poke the whitehead. Now use your fingers, make sure they are clean first, you dont want more bacteria to get in. Now squeeze the white pus out of the zit from the sides, and avoid touching top of zit, once agian, do not want more bacteria to get in from fingers.

If you dont have whiteheads, skip that step, if its just a red pimple.

Now, apply something nice and strong, such as benzoyl peroxide, or whatever face washing material you use. Apply a dab and rub it on each individual zit to soak it into skin, dont wash it off. Make sure your not applying any more around the zit where it isnt infected, so you can avoid dryness in skin. Once you have done that, go to sleep, and make sure you sleep all night long on your back only, so your face isnt rubbing on pillows or bed sheets. Wake up in the morning, and it should either be just about gone or completely gone. Works for me every single time.

Although, i dont breakout much at all, if its serious, you may want to see a dermatologist or a doctor which can prescribe pills that can kill it all off your face in 2-3 days.

The method i said above, is for individual zits, and may not work on all people. Remember to hydrate yourself with plenty off water, as this gets toxins out of your body that can cause breakouts.

Eating healthy and excersise is proven to stop acne. Sweating can clean pores from working out, and afterwards, take a hott shower to clean bacteria off of body.

    Hope that helped. =)

  2. Pro-Active?

    IDK i watch commercials…….

  3. i also had lots of problems with acne and went through many systems. have you tried proactiv yet? it works for many people. it never worked for me, but the one system that really worked as long as i did all the steps every day was murad. i have also heard good things about the neutrogena specialized systems. i left links below.

also, my acne was the worst around your age– i am 21 now and let me tell you, there is hope that you can grow out of it, i’m living proof.

  4. Go see a doctor and you can get a prescription for something stronger.

  5. Cut to the chase and go to a dermatologist and ask for: ACCUTANE which is a prescription drug that you take for three months or 4 and clears up acne, scars, lumps, bumps and everything in between for years to come.

  6. i AGREE WITH the presciptions biecause if uve tried almost everything then oviously those arent good for u. I got prescribed clindaymin and it kept my acne off for like a month, but i got it again beicause i got some more…. so go to ur doctor and tell him ur situation!, like really, he/she will help you and u will finally be able to get rid of ur acne.
Btw i had no side effects with clindamycin juist a lil dryness…
    so yea good luck

  7. Those chemicals that dermatologists prescribe are ridiculous; though they are beneficial for some, others are never able to find a real cure. I believe in simple natural remedies in order to cure acne, such as apple cider vinegar, baking soda, pure aloe vera gel, or tea tree oil (don’t deem all oils bad for your skin; on the contrary, many will actually greatly improve one’s acne)- research each of the four in order to be convinced of their potency. Moreover, keep your body cleansed thoroughly- abstain from consuming processed foods as well as animal products (you’ll never believe the crap that dairy farmers and meat producers add to their items), and eat a large amount of fruits, vegetables, and fiber. Simple tips to remember in order to obtain clearer skin: change pillowcases often, never touch your face, allow no cosmetics/hair products near your skin (this includes shampoo and conditioner), and use an acne treatment consistently for at least one to two months.
