I get blackheads like crazy. Any way to help other than acne medicine?

On my nose, so it's worse. I also have big pores. I don't normally care about this but it's getting really bad. I'm a guy. My skin is fairly greasey and I wash my face three times a day, morning, after school, and before bed. It's only helping a little. Any websites or products other than proactive?

  1. ok take eggs whites and use a fork to whip them a little just so that it has a top layer that is foamy. use a makeup brush and brush it on and use toilet paper on top then put another layer of egg whites use it like you would a biore stripp (it’s just much cheaper) it takes like 5-10 to dry completely make sure it is dry before you peel it off and when you are finished use cold water to wipe any of the residue off

  2. From experience, proactiv did not work for me. Especially for blackheads. The best product i think would suit you is Murad exfoliating cleanser. You can buy it online at Murad.com. What it does is minimize pores and eliminate excess oils from your face. The key is not to over wash your face. Only wash your face in the morning at night. Over-washing isn’t good.
    Good Luck! :)

  3. ok i had black head on my nose
and then i got the neautrogena( the orange one)
    dont get any other ones
it kind of like makes the black heads come out so what i did is washed my hands and got it out with my fingers
the neautrgena(the orange one) got rid of it!
it took about 2 days of using it and now the black heads are gone!

  4. Don’t scrub your face too hard. Your skin needs some oil on it as a barrier or else bacteria can get right in.

Your skin may be different, but when I was having huge problems with acne (teenage years) my normal shower plus a washing of the face at night helped more than scrubbing hard and washing all the time.

Also, if you didn’t know, DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE. Don’t rest your head on your hand, don’t scratch an itch (you could use a kleenex or something else for that). You’re hands touch many things and all of them are sources of bacteria. In microscopic terms, your hands are filthy… likely even after washing them. You have to scrub verrrrrry well & thorough to have you hands clean enough to touch your face. Don’t bother worrying too much about that, just don’t touch your face.

  5. st ives green tea cleanser/scrub or trader joes spa gentle facial cleanser. Use the cleanser once in the morning, once at night and try to use the scrub once anytime. And with the other use it twice maybe 3 times a day if possible . Sorry if this doesnt work

  6. Washing your face more than 2 times a day will really dry out your skin. When your skin is dry you will produce more oils to try and moisturize leaving you with greasy skin. So stick to a gentle & oil-free face wash and only wash your face 2 times a day. As for getting rid of blackheads you can either spend money on blackhead strips which hurt or you can make your own blackhead strips. I put a link for making your own pore strips. It comes with good tips too!
